  8. Note:     The term "vendor" is used to refer to any person, company or group
  9.           distributing the evaluation version of My Little Realm's Checking 
  10.           program by any means for profit or for any other purpose.
  11.  
  12.           The distribution license agreements are immediately below.  
  13.  
  14.           The required contents of the distribution disk are listed near
  15.           line 47 of this document.  The required contents of the .ZIP file
  16.           are listed near line 62 of this document.

  18.           You'll find my name, address and phone number, along with 
  19.           descriptions of Checking, at the end of this document.

  21.           The .ZIP file ID is MLRCHK25.ZIP.

  23.           The registration price is $20 (USA).  The benefits are listed at
  24.           the end of this document near the descriptions.  Possible product 
  25.           categories would be Home Finance, Checking Management, and Personal 
  26.           Finance.

  33.                          Distribution Requirements

  39. As the exclusive copyright holder for My Little Realm's Checking program, 
  40. John L. Salisbury (also called the author) authorizes distribution only in 
  41. accordance with the following restrictions:
  42.  
  43.   o  ASP Vendors in good standing are hereby granted permission to distribute 
  44.      the Checking package.  Non-ASP member vendors must request permission 
  45.      prior to distributing this package.
  46.      
  47.   o  The Checking package - including all related program files and 
  48.      documentation files - cannot be modified in any way and must be 
  49.      distributed as a complete package, without exception.  
  50.      
  51.      For disk vendors, the distribution disk's required contents are:

  54.           _____  INSTALL.TXT       Details installation procedures
  55.           _____  VENDOR.TXT        Contains all vendor information

  77.         * Note:  If you are creating a .ZIP file from the distribution disk,
  78.                  the compressed file EXPANDME.EXE must be expanded before
  79.                  creating MLRCHK25.ZIP.

  81.   o  No disk vendor may place other authors' works on the Checking disk.
  82.      Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or installation 
  83.      batch files used by many shareware disk vendors, are acceptable.
  84.  
  85.   o  No price or other compensation may be charged by any vendor for the 
  86.      Checking software package.  Vendors may charge their standards fees for
  87.      the materials and services they provide.

  90. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  92. The Checking package cannot be sold as part of some other inclusive 
  93. package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software packaging offer 
  94. without a written agreement from John L.Salisbury.
  95.  
  96. ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the Checking package as part 
  97. of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) may do so 
  98. provided that all the other restrictions are met.
  99.  
  100. Non-ASP Member Vendors who wish to distribute the Checking package as 
  101. part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) must 
  102. obtain permission from the author prior to beginning such a distribution.
  103.  
  104. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:
  105. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  106. If you would like to distribute the Checking package as a Disk-of-
  107. the-Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then the
  108. following restrictions apply:

  110.   o  ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby 
  111.      given permission to distribute the Checking package under the 
  112.      Disk-of-the-Month style of distribution.
  113.  
  114.   o  Non-ASP Vendors must contact the author in advance to ensure that 
  115.      they have the most current version of the software.
  116.  
  117.   o  Vendors (ASP and non-ASP Members) cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month 
  118.      distribution to use up their inventory of old (out of date) disks.  
  119.      Only current versions of the Checking package may be shipped 
  120.      as Disk-of-the-Month disks.
  121.  
  122.   o  A printed copy of the online documentation may not be reproduced 
  123.      in whole or in part, using any means, without the written permission 
  124.      of the author.  
  125.  
  126.   o  The Checking package cannot be rented or leased to others.
  127.  
  128.   o  No vendor may list Checking in advertisements, catalogs, or other 
  129.      literature which describes Checking as "FREE SOFTWARE".  
  130.  
  131.   o  The author expressly prohibits the distribution of outdated versions 
  132.      of the Checking package without written permission.  If the 
  133.      version you have is over twelve (12) months old, please contact the
  134.      author to ensure that you have the most current version.  
  135.  
  136.   o  Vendors shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  137.      disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed 
  138.      program except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized 
  139.      use shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this 
  140.      license.

  142. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to the author.
