| SecureCAT v1.0 |
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introduction:
-------------
The main reason I wrote this program, is because I got tired of people
using my computer without my permission. Most of the time the would end up using
too much of my harddrive space and I would get very angry.... So I thought of
writing a program that would keep people from using my computer without my
permission.
In Your .Zip:
-------------
In this .zip archive the following files should be included:
SCAT10.EXE ----> The main program file, used to run SecureDOS v1.0.
SCAT10.DOC ----> This document file.
SCAT10.REG ----> The information you need to register SecureDOS v1.0
ESOS.BBS ----> An ad for Eastern Shore On-Line Services
The Program:
------------
To use SecureCAT v1.0 all you have to do is unzip this archive in your
main WildCat! directory and ad the following line to your cat.bat file:
SCAT10.EXE
You will have to insert this line after the "WILDCAT" line and before the "IF
ERRORLEVEL=1, etc." line in your CAT.BAT file. Once this is done, you are ready
to go. Each and every time you exit WildCat! this program will be automatically
loaded to help prevent hackers from using your computer, etc.!
The Password:
-------------
Just remember this password and you will not have a problem, but if you
do happen to forget the password you may never get into your computer again!!!
NOT!!
And the password is ---> ■pass■ <--- to get the "■" on the screen all you have
to do is hold down <Atl> while you press 254 on your number pad.
A Recomendation:
----------------
If you are really worried about hackers getting into your computer you might
want to also find the file called "SDOS10.ZIP" because SecureCAT does not work
if the computer is reset! It's companion SecureDOS will prevent access at
boot-up time!
The Advantages Of A Registered Copy:
------------------------------------
With the registered copy you can:
[1] Change the password
[2] Get rid of that annoying "Unregistered" message at the end
of the program.
[3] Feel good because you have helped support the idea of
shareware.
