  4. GRAPHICA is shareware and as such is NOT FREE for use in a business,
  5. commercial, government, or institutional environment.  Registration
  6. of GRAPHICA for personal (not at the office) use is optional.  If you
  7. like the program and find it useful, you can support its continued
  8. development by sending me a contribution of NFL 50.- (dutch guilders)
  9. or $25.00 (US dollars).  Your financial support is needed to
  10. encourage further improvements to GRAPHICA.  Business, commercial,
  11. government, or institutional GRAPHICA users must register GRAPHICA
  12. after a 30-day evaluation period.

  25. Graphica is a command-driven interactive graphics program for making
  26. presentation quality graphs on a computer.  This two-dimensional
  27. data plotting system is designed specifically for scientific and
  28. engineering applications.
  29.  
  30. The Graphica package is distributed in an archive called GRPHCA24.ZIP
  31. (or GRPH24.ZIP on CompuServe).  After extracting all files with
  32. PKUNZIP or an equivalent program, the following files should appear
  33. as part of the GRAPHICA package:

  35. GRAPHICA.EXE     main program (executable)
  36. GRAPHICA.FIL     help file (text file-may be printed)
  37. YY*.BIN          binary font files (make sure they are somewhere
  38.                  in your DOS path, otherwise you won't be able
  39.                  to see any characters)
  40. README.1ST       quick instructions (this file)

  42. DOCS.ZIP         archive containing:
  43.   GRAPHICA.DOC   short user's tutorial
  44.   REGISTER.DOC   registration information
  45.   HISTORY.DOC    log of latest changes and improvements
  46.   SHAREWRE.DOC   about shareware
  47.   GRAPHICA.ICO   icon you can use with Microsoft Windows

  53. For a quick demonstration of GRAPHICA's main capabilities, run
  54. GRAPHICA and then load some of the sample script files.  For example,

  56.       C:\graphica (press return)
  57.       graphica> load demo1 (press return)

  59. Alternatively, command-line arguments may be names of files
  60. containing GRAPHICA commands.  Then, for example,

  62.       C:\graphica demo1 (press return)

  64. is another way of running the demo above.
