  3. Terms for Microsoft Video for Windows Runtime
  4. --------
  5. Microsoft grants to you the right to reproduce
  6. and distribute the runtime modules of the SOFTWARE
  7. provided that you: (a) distribute the runtime
  8. modules only in conjunction with and as a part of an
  9. application program or data file, and not as part of
  10. any operating system or utility program, or on a
  11. standalone basis; (b) do not use Microsoft's name,
  12. logo, or trademarks in any marketing or advertising;
  13. (c) include a valid copyright notice on your product;
  14. and (d) agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend
  15. Microsoft and its suppliers from and against any
  16. claims or lawsuits, including attorneys' fees, that
  17. arise or result from the use or distribution of your
  18. product which incorporates the runtime modules.  The
  19. "runtime modules" are those files in the SOFTWARE so
  20. identified in the written materials accompanying the
  21. SOFTWARE.  If required in the SOFTWARE documentation,
  22. you agree to display the designated patent notices on
  23. the packaging and in the README file of your product.
  24. The license in this section to distribute the runtime
  25. modules is royalty-free provided that your application
  26. program or data file incorporating the runtime modules
  27. is created for operation on the Microsoft(R) Windows(TM),
  28. Windows NT (TM), or Modular Windows (TM) operating
  29. systems.  Please contact Microsoft for the applicable
  30. licensing terms for all other uses of the runtime modules.
