  1. How to register (short version):

  3. To register Windows Commander, please send a check over SFr. 30.-, in Swiss
  4. Francs drawn on a Swiss bank, or a Eurocheque or SWISS Postcheque in Swiss
  5. Francs, or a US cheque on a US bank over US$ 25.- together with this order

  17. 1. From Europe
  18.  
  19. If you live in Europe, please send a Eurocheque in Swiss Francs, in the 
  20. amount of SFr. 30.- together with the order form to my home address. A
  21. foreign (non-Swiss) Postcheque cannot be accepted!!!

  23. Alternatively, you could remit SFr. 30.- to the Swiss postal account 
  24. Nr 30-87193-6. This should work from all (western) European countries.
  25. Please do not forget to write on the coupon your name, address and country,
  26. the desired disk size (3 1/2 inch or 5 1/4 inch) and the desired language 
  27. (English or German)!

  29. Cash is also accepted, but only bank notes (no coins and no small bank-
  30. notes!). If you want to send foreign currency, please add around SFr. 5.-
  31. for currency handling. If you send cash, this is at your own risk!

  33. 2. From the USA
  34.  
  35. Send in a US cheque drawn on a US bank in the amount of US$ 25.-, together
  36. with the order form.

  38. You can also send US$ 25.- cash to my home address. However, there is now
  39. way for you to prove that you sent money in a letter (the postman could
  40. steal it)! To be on the safe side, send a crossed (not negotiable) cheque.

  42. 3. On Compuserve
  43.  
  44. On any ! prompt, type GO SWREG.
  45. This brings you to the Software registration forum. One licence will cost
  46. you $US 25.-. Choose Menu point 2, Register Shareware. In the search 
  47. criteria, choose option 1, the REGISTRATION ID.

  49. The registration ID for the English version is 2013.
  50. The registration ID for the German version is 2014.

  52. Enter this ID, and make sure the displayed program description fits to
  53. Windows Commander and to the desired language. Enter 'Y' at the prompt to 
  54. register or 'N' if you changed your mind or entered the wrong number.
  55.  
  56. You are then prompted to enter your name, company name (optional),
  57. your complete address, your phone number (optional) and the number of 
  58. copies you want. SEE BELOW FOR THE DISCOUNT ON MULTIPLE LICENCES. You will
  59. get only 1 Disk with each registration, together with the licence to in-
  60. stall the program on the desired number of computers.

  62. Select VIEW to check that the information you entered is correct. Select
  63. CHANGE to edit any of the information you entered. Select SEND to complete
  64. your registration, receive a detail of your total charges, and to send the
  65. information to the author (to us). Your Compuserve account will then be
  66. charged with the registration fee, and we'll be noticed of your registration.
  67. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery (to the US, less within Europe). You will
  68. then get the most recent version of the program on a 3 1/2'' Disk.

  70. ||  IMPORTANT: If you want your company name in the title bar, you must enter 
  71. ||  an X and a ":" in front of the company name, e.g.   X:MYCOMPANY. 
  72. ||  Otherwise, your Name will appear in the title bar!!!

  74. Calculation of the discount for multiple licences (Compuserve SWREG): You 
  75. normally need to fill in a smaller number of licences than you actually need!
  76. First, calculate the cost for the desired amount of licences in Swiss francs
  77. (Use table on the order form). Divide the result by 1.5 to get the amount in
  78. $US. Multiply by 1,177 (Compuserve fees). Divide the result by 25.- (price per
  79. single licence on CIS) and round up to the next integer number. The resulting
  80. number can then be entered to SWREG.

  82. Example: You want 25 licences of Windows Commander
  83.  
  84. Price in SFr.:     1x30.- + 9x20.- + 15x15.-    = SFr. 435.-
  85. Price in $US:  SFr. 440.- / 1.5                 = $US 290.-
  86. With Compuserve fees (x1.177)                   = $US 341.-
  87. divided by 25                                   =      13.65
  88. Rounded up to next integer:                     =      14

  91. You would have to pay for only 14 licences to get 25. Compuserve will bill you
  92. for 14x25=$US350.-. If you have questions (or the calculation is too complicated

  99. As soon as you are registered, all updates are free. Just install the new 
  100. version over the old one.
