  1. Release Notes for rev 1.2:

  3. - This product requires Windows 3.1 or above.  
  4.  
  5. - This product is designed to allow the user to select AVI
  6.   (Audio/Video), WAV, & Bitmaps to make their own custom 
  7.   screen saver. We have include many "templates" or windows
  8.   for you to select from. Depending on the speed of your 
  9.   computer some will work better than others due to the size
  10.   of the video image. Try the different demos and you will
  11.   quickly get to know and use these different templates.
  12.   The included templates are as follows:

  14.     * Full Screen
  15.     * Centered
  16.     * Palette
  17.     * Moving Action 
  18.     * Photo Album
  19.  
  20.   With the use of the /T in the CVS file you can specify the
  21.   size and location of the video window. See demo examples.

  23. - THIS RELEASE IS DESIGNED FOR 640x480x256. 
  24.   We also support 800x600 & 1024x768, however due to the intense
  25.   requirements of the video you may notice a drop in performance. 
  26.   256 colors is preferable.

  28. - WE DO SUPPORT MPEG, if you have the hardware and supporting 
  29.   drivers installed. Simple replace the AVI with MPEG files.
  30.  
  31. - Videos are played via the use of a CODEC (compression-
  32.   decompression) driver. Different AVI files will make
  33.   use of of these different CODECs and hence due to the
  34.   differences in the compression methods you may see varying
  35.   degrees of smoothness.  The size of the captured image will
  36.   effect the quality of the playback image, especially if you 
  37.   enlarge the image. The AVI demo files were captured at
  38.   160 x 120 20 frames per second. You may wish to capture images
  39.   at a higher resolution, depending on your system.

  41. - Disk compression software can slow down the video.

  44. - To improve Video speed turn off sound if you do NOT have a 
  45.   sound card.
  46.  
  47. - We have tried to include as many AVI, WAV, and BITMAP
  48.   source examples, and still make it easy to download.

  52. - Feel free to edit and change out AVI, WAV, & BITMAPS for
  53.   your use. The DEMOS are is help get you started. We admit
  54.   we aren't artists or musicians. The main idea is to let 
  55.   YOU use and create YOUR OWN FILES.

  58.   ered users very soon to allow the user to create and edit 
  59.   their CVS projects even easier.
