  20.          This is P-Screen's Quick Reference Guide.  While you're running
  21.          P-Screen, you can press F1 (Help) to view several help screens
  22.          -or- view this guide.

  24.           * Since this is a simple ASCII (DOS text) file, you can edit
  25.             it to: 1) delete material you don't need; or, 2) add your
  26.             own tips, reminders, ideas, etc.  If you add comments:
  27.             - We urge you to add your tips at the end of this file.
  28.             - Then, when you view it from inside P-Screen, press END
  29.               to quickly jump to the end of the file and your comments.

  31.           * This contains "high ASCII" characters and was meant to be
  32.             viewed on your monitor (rather than printed).  If you want
  33.             to print it, use our Multi-Print program (which has fonts to
  34.             handle nearly every ASCII character), or be sure your printer
  35.             can print these characters.

  37.           * You can also use our Ram-Man program (our RAM-resident file
  38.             browser) to keep this file (or ANY text file) available at
  39.             the press of a key.  Ram-Man lets you search for topics, and
  40.             lets you return to the same spot the next time you call it up.

  65.          To run P-Screen, at the DOS prompt, type:    p-screen <cr>
  66.  
  67.          In order to display menus and help screens, P-Screen must find
  68.          the screen library called P-Screen.PSL.  We'll look for it on
  69.          the same drive/directory where you installed P-Screen.Exe.
  70.  
  71.          To use P-Screen's Big! Font (tm) option, the font files (with
  72.          the extension ".fnt") must also be on the same "path."
  73.  
  74.          If P-Screen has trouble finding these files, add this line to
  75.          AutoExec.Bat (or to a batch file you use to run P-Screen):

  77.                            Set P-Screen=Drive:\Directory

  79.          Replace "Drive:\Directory" with the drive and directory where
  80.          you installed P-Screen.Exe, P-Screen.Psl and Big! Font files.

  88.          Choose options using either pull down menus or "hot keys."
  89.  
  90.          Menus are NOT normally visible -- so you'll have the full screen
  91.          to work with.  To call up the menus, press "/" -or- the LEFT
  92.          mouse button.  When you do, a "menu bar" appears at the top of
  93.          your screen, and the last menu you used drops down.  If you
  94.          haven't used the menus yet, this "File" menu drops down:

  200.          Each of these options saves lots of time.

  202.           * You can repeat most Alt-key options.  Just move the cursor
  203.             to a new spot and press Alt-R.

  205.           * Copy (Alt-C) and the clipboard (Alt-K) help you duplicate
  206.             sections of your screen.  The clipboard works "across"
  207.             screens -- it's retained if you load other screens.

  213.          The smaller the screen, the faster it loads and is displayed.
  214.          Wherever possible, use subscreens to speed up your programs.

  217.          Save Time-Critical Screens First

  220.          Screens near the front of screen libraries load faster than
  221.          screens near the end (it takes DOS longer to find later screens).
  222.          So, save the screens you need loaded fast first.  MANAGER makes
  223.          it easy to re-group library screens in any order you want.
