  11. MATHOMATIC is a powerful symbolic math program that works like a super-smart
  12. algebraic calculator.  It is an inexpensive alternative to Mathematica.

  14. MATHOMATIC is an artificially intelligent algebraic manipulator program which
  15. implements most of the rules of algebra for the mathematical operators +, -, *,
  16. /, and power (including roots).  Any linear or quadratic equation can be
  17. automatically solved for any unknown.  Many other types of equations can be
  18. solved and simplified, too.  Unlike other symbolic math programs that provide
  19. partial support for a multitude of operators and functions, MATHOMATIC goes all
  20. the way with its basic mathematical operators and commands.

  22. You can simplify equations, factor most polynomials, perform basic calculus
  23. operations, compare equations, replace variables with any expression, jiggle a
  24. variable about some value to see the sensitivity to that value, etc.  In
  25. addition, simultaneous algebraic equations can be easily combined and solved
  26. for any variable.  Complex number arithmetic and multi-variable polynomial
  27. division are supported, too.

  30. graphing program requires EGA/VGA and numerically graphs, solves, and finds
  31. asymptotes of equations.
