The notch must be taken down to a depth that is level with the floppy drive face-plate and be 3mm in width. It should also end up about level with the LED window. Fix the LED in place using suitable adhesive. Form the wire so that it is flat against the face-plate and pass the wire through the notch in the rib hold it in position with a double-sided cable clip.
