  1. NoteWorthy Composer 1.20, Notation Processor for Windows
  2.  
  3. A Shareware music composition and notation processor for Windows,
  4. providing for the creation, play back, and printing of your own 
  5. musical scores. You can:
  6.  
  7. - Print your whole score (for a conductor's view), or just 
  8.   the staves you select, in several font sizes
  9.  
  10. - Import and export standard MIDI files
  11.  
  12. - Use the computer keyboard or mouse for notation editing
  13.  
  14. - Selectively add or remove slurs, staccato, accents, beams, 
  15.   triplets, and accidentals through tool bar buttons
  16.  
  17. - Use the included tools to automatically transpose, beam, and
  18.   arrange accidentals in your score staves to make them look 
  19.   professional

  21. - Create up to four lyric lines per staff

  23. - Add various performance expressions, such as crescendos,
  24.   fermatas, breath marks, and accelerandos that are recognized

  40. - Edit any existing notation or expression mark on a staff 
  41. - User control of note stem directions
  42. - Chords composed of a note, or notes, and a smaller 
  43.   duration rest
  44. - A generic Text Expression item where you can add your 
  45.   own text expressions
  46. - All notation symbols now use True Type fonts, so you 
  47.   have much more control over the size of a score 
  48. - A note beam inside of a triplet grouping
  49. - Use the copy feature from Print Preview to create a 
  50.   bitmap file for import into other applications (for

  80. ** Upgrade Instructions For Owners of Previous Versions:
  81. Before installing this software, make sure you have your
  82. registration codes from the certificate that was mailed to you.
  83. You will need your codes to re-register your system for use 
  84. with NoteWorthy Composer after installing this new version.

  86. We recommend that you retain your existing application files until
  87. after you have successfully installed and used this new version.
  88. By default, the setup procedure will install this new version in
  89. a directory different from the default directories used in previous
  90. versions of NoteWorthy Composer. Once you are satisfied with the
  91. performance of this new version, you should go ahead and remove 
  92. the previous version, as described in its original help file. You 
  93. can review the file "WHATSNEW.WRI" if you want to find out what is
  94. new in this release prior to installing it.

  96. ** Installation Instructions:
  97. If you have received the NWC files in an archive such as a
  98. ZIP file, extract the files into either a temp directory on your 
  99. hard drive, or onto a dedicated diskette.
  100.  
  101. Run the SETUP application that is contained in this directory
  102. or diskette that you created. For example, if you extracted the
  103. application files into a disk in drive A:, then from the Program
  104. Manager you would select the Run command from the File menu, type
  105. A:\SETUP and press enter.

  107. Once SETUP starts executing, just follow the prompts. After the
  108. install is complete, an on-line context sensitive help file can
  109. guide you the rest of the way.
