  4. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE AMIGA

  6. The very fact that you are reading this proves that the AMIGA plays a part
  7. in your life , so being an AMIGAN you must have noticed that of late the
  8. software has become scarce to say the least , there are some dedicated to
  9. our brilliant computer but not many . I can remember when each month the
  10. magazines were packed with new software , when PC owners used to rave about
  11. games and we could reply with the likes of "Monkey Island ? I completed
  12. that months ago." that's because most software came out on the AMIGA first ,
  13. sadly those days are gone , we may not be able to change things around to
  14. the way they were but we can have a good try and you can be a part of it ,
  15. "Me ? " you may ask "how can I change things ?" you can and it is simple .

  17. Lets look at the facts , the AMIGA scene is still strong , there are new
  18. hardware products appearing all the time , someone must be buying them , so
  19. if the hardware manufacturers recognise that we are still out there then
  20. why can't the software houses ? I'll tell you why , it's because we are not
  21. making enough noise , write to them , let them know that if they produce
  22. the software there are people who will buy it , tell them that 28,325
  23. people read AMIGA FORMAT every month ( see page 102 FEB 98 issue , better
  24. still cut the page out and send it to them ) it may cost for a couple of
  25. stamps but the alternative is too horrible to contemplate , £1500 for a
  26. lesser machine than the one you have already and the user unfriendly
  27. WINDOZE , and don't listen to those lying TOASTER salesmen who tell you
  28. "the AMIGA is dead and was only a games machine anyway , what you want is
  29. one of these " pointing to a PC , I had to leave the shop before I did
  30. something HE might regret . I say "OI , GATES , NO !!!!!!!!!"
