Paul started his musical career in the school orchestra, where he also joined his first band the Quaker Shakers! Later bands included Grays Elegies, and FEET. After a period of session work he joined the band RAM. When they broke up Precious Little were formed. After some more session work, the Banned arrived. With a Top 40 hit, they disbanded and Paul joined the Specimins. During the 80's he did some recording for the BBC and then came the RETROS
