  19.                       X.PC INFORMATION AND UPDATE POLICY

  23.     X.PC IS A PUBLIC DOMAIN PROTOCOL. THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE X.PC
  24.     DRIVER FOR THE PC OR ITS CONCEPTS.

  26.     However, for a small cost-defraying charge, the X.PC technical
  27.     documentation with source code on diskette is mailed out on the second
  28.     Monday of each month. It is sent by first class mail through the U.S.
  29.     Postal Service.

  32.                            X.PC Packet Information

  35.     The X.PC Packet provides guidelines to interface the X.PC Driver to an
  36.     application on an IBM PC (and 100% compatible) that runs under MS-DOS
  37.     or PC-DOS, version 2.00 and above.

  39.     Two sample applications (with source code) are provided on diskettes
  40.     with the X.PC Driver Module. Also provided are development utilities
  41.     which monitor the interaction between your application and the X.PC
  42.     Driver Module.

  44.     If you wish to modify the driver or to port the X.PC Driver to other
  45.     hardware or operating environments, the source code for the X.PC
  46.     Driver Module is also provided. The code is mainly written in
  47.     Microsoft C, and IBM Macro-assembler to manipulate the 8250
  48.     communications processor.

  50.     Also included with the X.PC technical documentation and state diagrams
  51.     is a utility that allows a PC with two serial cards to be used as an
  52.     X.PC line monitor/protocol analyzer.

  55.                                X.PC Packet Cost

  58.     A check for $35.00 ($45.00 if outside the United States) covers the
  59.     cost of five (5) diskettes, the documentation, and the postage and
  60.     handling.

  63.                          X.PC Packet Rush deliveries
  64.

  66.     Rush deliveries are processed only if the check and the completed
  67.     request are accompanied by a self-addressed (with billing account
  68.     number) airbill for overnight delivery. Self-addressed airbills for
  69.     Federal Express, DHL, or Airborne are accepted. No "bill recipient" or
  70.     COD (such as UPS) will be processed for rush delivery.

  75.                          How to Order the X.PC Packet

  78.     1. Complete the X.PC Information Request order form on page 3.

  80.     2. Attach a check or money order payable to "BT Tymnet" for
  81.        $35.00 ($45.00 if outside the United States), to defray the costs
  82.        of the diskettes, shipping, and handling. There is NO CHARGE for
  83.        the X.PC public domain code itself.

  85.        Purchase orders or CODs are NOT ACCEPTED.
