  4. Simtel.Net, located at Walnut Creek CDROM, is the origin point of Keith
  5. Petersen's world-wide distribution network for Shareware, Freeware, and
  6. Public Domain programs for MS-DOS, Windows 3.x, and Windows 95.  It has
  7. more mirror sites than any other archive of its type on the Internet.
  8. Its web pages are also mirrored on many servers around the world.

  10. ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/ is the primary distribution site for
  11. these collections.  FTP.Simtel.Net is actually several ftp sites arranged
  12. in a rotating pattern of IP addresses to help balance the load and to
  13. avoid access problems due to network outages and simultaneous user
  14. limits.  At the present time ftp.ou.edu and oak.oakland.edu are the
  15. primary sites.  Our files are located in the /pub/simtelnet directory
  16. tree on these hosts.
