What is multi-axis hypertext? <sum06 1 13>
=============================
Taxonomies Hypertext is more than building semantic taxonomies for
========== minimum-keystroke access to ideas. <link56>
Because people use a wide variety of methods to access
information, "good" hypertext anticipates each of the
desired approaches. <link43 1 21>
Matrix-outlining To create such systems, I use a matrix-outliner
================ (HOUDINI) to identify and index all the dimensions and
boundaries of each piece of information. <link62>
Very difficult Once these dimensions are identified, I build hypertext
construction task networks that, starting from any viewpoint, will guide
================= users to the desired information. This construction task
provides a multi-axis approach to hypertext that greatly
expands the usefulness of the system.
Multi-axis hypertext means anticipating all the possible
ways others might think about any piece of information in
your hypertext system. That requires talent! <link60>
