  1. The accompanying file, aidstech.doc, is the text of a file of
  2. technical information prepared by Dr. Alan Solomon, Chairman IBM PC
  3. User Group, London, concerning the PC Cyborg AIDS Disk trojan. I have
  4. copied the file from the Virus-L (comp.virus) archives on
  5. certs.sei.cmu.edu, and edited it slightly in the following manner: In
  6. a few places it looked like transmission errors had changed a newline
  7. character to J, and I changed it back. The character <control-H>
  8. appeared in a context where it seemed that a printing character,
  9. perhaps an IBM PC graphic character, was intended to represent the
  10. space character. I changed it to the character ~ to improve
  11. readability. In the encryption table and sample decryption BASIC code
  12. the characters <control-H> and <control-G> appeared in the file. I
  13. wasn't sure what had been in the original, so I changed them to ^H
  14. and ^G respectively to improve readability.  I trust that these minor
  15. typographical changes will make it easier to output and read this
  16. file without altering the meaning in any essential way.
