@1ST PAR PAL = W<B%6>estlake Village, CA<D> <197> The first video<%0>
display system which permits the Micro Channel based PS/2 to display
two full pages of legible text and graphics on a 20" screen is now
available from Ventek Corporation for use in desktop publishing and
computer aided design.
@ARTICLE PAL = The <BI>PS 2000 <D>offers four times the resolution
and higher performance over the standard PS/2 VGA display capability,
while maintaining 100% compatibility with all VGA modes. <169>Due
to its higher performance and ability to display two full pages of
legible text side-by-side, the PS 2000, for the first <%4>time makes
the PS/2 ideal for state-of-the-art<%0> desktop publishing<170> commented
Dr. Robert Harp, President and CEO of Ventek.
@ARTICLE PAL = The key to the PS 2000's higher resolution is an enhanced
resolution mode not available with the standard VGA monochrome display.
This new mode is capable of displaying 1280 x 1024 pixels, more than
four times that of the standard VGA. With desktop publishing applications,
this new mode allows two full pages of legible text to be dis<%8>played
side-by-side. VGA can only display<%0> <%6>approximately 1.3 page
legibly, a recognized<%0> disadvantage of desktop publishing on the
PS/2.
@ARTICLE PAL =
@ARTICLE PAL = <%2>Drivers supplied are: Ventura Publisher, MS<%0>
Windows, AutoCAD, and GEM. The PS 2000 subsystem includes a 20" ultra-resolution
monitor, the <%4>PS/2 MCA card, software utilities and drivers, <%0>interface
cable and manual. Suggested retail price is $2,495.00 and comes with
a 6 month warranty.
