README.1ST
If you are having problems setting up BiModem with Telix & the ATI modem,
this package may help you.
If you're just interested in setting up BiModem with Telix then don't run
the batch files included or change any configuration parameters except for
the external protocol or set up a function key to call up BIMOD.BAT. You
will only need to change the BiModem configuration's RTS/CTS to N.
README.1ST - Take a guess!
BITLXMNP.DOC - The DOCS
BIPATH.LST - Sample list of directories for BiModem to search
for files to be sent from your drives. You MUST
edit it to list your own directories containing
paths to where your files will be sent from.
BIMODEM.CFG - Sample BiModem configuration configuration v1.14.
BIMOD.BAT - The automated batch file for calling BiModem up
from Telix - You may setup a Fkey to call it up or
set it up as an external protocol as described in
BITLXMNP.DOC. Recommended that when you call it up
you should use Download (Page Down) so you won't be
prompted for file names by Telix or better yet set
up a F key to call it up. The %1 and %2 is the speed
and port passed from Telix if you're setting BiModem
as an external protocol.
BIMOD1.BAT - Same as BIMOD.BAT but without the %1 & %2 parameter
for calling BiModem using a function key.
TELIX.CNF - Sample Telix configuration v 3.11. The COM port has
been set to 2. If you are using a different COM port
you should modify the "port=2" to whatever COM port
your modem is set at so Telix won't freeze up when it
try to initialize the modem.
BICONFIG.TXT - Documentations on configuring BiModem to work properly
with the procedure documented here.
SETUPV42.BAT - Batch file for setting up ATI 2400 etc modem with the
v.42 protocol.
Syntax: SETUPV42 n | Where n is the COM port your modem
| is connected. Supported are COMs 1-4.
SETUP.BAT - Batch file for setting up the old non-v42 ATI 2400 etc
modem.
Syntax: SETUP n | Where n is the COM port your modem
| is connected. Supported are COMs 1-4.
AT.COM - The program needed for SETUP.BAT & SETUPV42.BAT.
Please run either SETUP.BAT or SETUPV42.BAT now then print out
BITLXMNP.DOC and BICONFIG.TXT now then proceed to set up
Telix and BiModem.
Let me know if this is any help at all. My ego wants to know. Leave me
a message on an IBM or COMM echo if you have anything to say.
Good Luck!
Geoffrey Sy.
