  11. This is a description of the anomaly corrections and enhancements that appear 
  12. in this first update and distinquish it from the original release (#085). This
  13. update fixes high priority anomalies that generated frequent calls to the 
  14. Technical Support Group.
  15.  
  16. PRODUCT CORRECTIONS AND ENHANCEMENTS
  17.  
  18. Program disk 6 updated files:
  19. WS.EXE, WSMSGS.OVR, WSHELP.OVR, DRIVERN.OVR, DRIVERT.OVR, PRINT.TST

  21. WS.EXE Corrections:  
  22.  
  23. NEC P5 can now select "Proportional" font from ^P= menu--get "Proportional 
  24. Cond" and LQ2500 can now select "Roman Prop" from ^P= menu--get "Roman Prop 
  25. Cond" 
  26.  
  27. (.CW) now controls the character spacing for daisy wheel printers.
  28.  
  29. Form Feed (^PL) with Repeat Prior Find Replace (^L) in document no longer 
  30. gives screen registration, line/page number errors.
  31.  
  32. Can now use .LQ to print letter quality with upward compatibility for WS 4.0 
  33. files without re-editing.  (.LQ affects fonts selected by ^A, ^N, .CW...)
  34.  
  35. ^QT now deletes past characters with high bits set.

  37. The superscript roll (.SR) default value changed from (80/1440") to (90/1440")

  39. "Ask for personal dictionary" is now asked everytime the dictionary is run.  
  40. Misc problems in WSCHANGE also fixed.

  42. Attempt to enter a dot command while a in dot command line is no longer fatal.

  44. Page preview no longer changes program to non-document mode.

  46. Tabbing if no tabs in headers or footers is no longer fatal.

  48. Text following .lm2/.lm .10" will now start in the correct place.

  50. Headers and footers when beginning on page 2 are no longer scrambled.

  52. A block is no longer appended when file contains tab characters.

  57. Phantom blank & rubout now prints correctly with both fixed & prop fonts.

  60. off-screen page break.

  345. The improvements and corrections highlighted below are specific to the differ-
  346.      ences between the Inline/#091 and the Inline/#092 and how they will 
  347.      effect the single user.  
  348.  
  349. PRODUCT CORRECTIONS AND ENHANCEMENTS:
  350.  
  351. PREVIEW.OVR and WS.EXE have been modified to allow the main Preview program 
  352.      files to reside on the R/O program drive but font files to be created on 
  353.      the R/W shared drive.  
  354.  
  355. The EGA mono and the EGA 64K monitor problems have been fixed.
  356.  
  357. LSRFONTS.EXE has had 2 anomalies fixed.  The "Type Style Number" embedded at 
  358.      the front of each soft font file is now transferred correctly into the 
  359.      Printer Data Base and now all third party fonts are identified by their 
  360.      names instead of the cryptic "UNKNOWN 12/6".
  361.  
  362. PATCH.LST has been corrected to adjust for the change of patch adresses during 
  363.      development.

  621.      (#093) from update (#092).  This is an update to the WS.EXE file (#Ameri-
  622.      can 093) only.  
  623. PRODUCT CORRECTIONS:

  625. Two PDF pathing anomalies found in the WS.EXE (#092) file have now been cor-
  626.      rected: 
  627.  
  628. 1)  When editing and printing a file in window #2, WS was using the PDF from 
  629.     the file in window #1.
  630.  
  631. 2)  In WINSTALL or WSCHANGE when entering a drive letter where PDF's can be 
  632.     found the program would halt.
