questionmark)
- Control-C Aborts Commands/text display
- Control-K Aborts Commands/text display
- Control-S Pauses Commands/text display -
press any key to continue.
\S
S)ave the message as it now is.
\C
C)ontinue adding new text. New lines are added to the end of theì
message, until you enter a blank line. To enter a blank line intoì
your message, enter at least one space to the line.
\A
A)bort the message. Throw it away; you are asked "YES" or "NO".
\L
L)ist the message as it is. You can use various edit commands toì
change anything you don't like.
\E
E)dit a line. Change, remove, or add one or more words.
First, you are prompted for the number of the line to be edited;ì
and the specified line is displayed.
Next, you are then prompted for the character(s) that you want toì
change; enter the EXACT CHARACTERS you want to replace.
Then, you are prompted for the string of characters with which toì
replace them. The new line is displayed.
* To change the entire line, D)elete and then I)nsert.
* To add a word, change something already there to itself, plusì
the new word; for example, you can change "my dog" to "my newì
dog" by changing "my" to "my new".
* To delete a word, hit just [CR] when asked for the new word.
\D
D)elete one or more lines in your message. Enter a number toì
delete that numbered line. You can also delete a RANGE ofì
numbers. To delete (for example) lines 5 to 23, enter "5-23". Allì
lines below it are renumbered.
\I
Insert new text starting before the line number you specify, andì
stopping when you enter a blank line. Lines below the line youì
start on are "moved down" to make room for the new text.
\R
Read the contents of the Edit Buffer. (See the "W)rite-Buffer"ì
command in the Message Section.) Because this reads in the entireì
Edit Buffer, you will probably want to delete some -- see theì
D)elete lines, "RANGE" option.
\H
Change the message H)eader. You can change -- "To:", "Subj:", ì
and "Private"; in the FidoNet message section, you can also ì
change the destination FidoNet node address.
The current, default value is shown in [square brackets]; toì
choose that, just press [CR].
