  2. HELP FOR INDEX CD-ROM DISK
  3. This is the "Heart" of the CDIX program.  Selecting this
  4. option will begin a series of operations which allow you
  5. to easily copy programs from a CD disk to your hard drive
  6. or floppy.  CDIX reads the common indexing schemes used
  7. by several CD disk manufacturers to generate a list of
  8. files along with their descriptions.
  9.  
  10. Some important assumptions are made:
  11.  
  12.    1) You are using a standard CD-ROM drive with MSCDEX.
  13.    2) The CD disks contain the proper indexing scheme.
  14.       (A message will appear if CDIX cannot find one.)
  15.    3) Your computer is normal, meaning that your setup
  16.       is assumed to be standard.  CDIX may not be able
  17.       to read "odd" configurations. (Sorry!)

  19. HELP FOR RESETTING PARAMETERS
  20. CDIX relies on accurate ~SYSTEM~ information to operate
  21. properly.  Often, events will occur which confuse the
  22. program.  We added this function to allow you to RESET
  23. the initial parameters used by CDIX.  Hopefully, you will
  24. not ever need this function but if "unexplained" events
  25. start happening, you may wish to select this option.
  26.  
  27. NOTE: Selecting this option does NOT reset your computer
  28.       but rather gives CDIX the opportunity to reanalyze
  29.       your computers' ~SETUP~.

  87. HELP FOR DRIVE LIST
  88. CDIX uses information about all the possible drives on
  89. your system.  The ~DRIVE LIST~ will report the most
  90. current information CDIX has.  Thus, if you copy a big
  91. file to your hard drive, the ~DRIVE LIST~ will reflect
  92. those changes.  In addition, CDIX reports special ~NOTES~
  93. like "No Disk Present".

  98. HELP FOR FILE SELECTION
  99. Depending on the type of Index file used, a screen will be
  100. displayed with file names and descriptions.  By placing
  101. the ~HIGHLIGHT~ bar on the file name or the description
  102. and pressing ENTER, the ~COPY BOX~ will appear.  You can
  103. then copy the selected file.

  109. HELP FOR INDEX SELECTION
  110. A screen will be displayed with Index files.  By placing
  111. the ~HIGHLIGHT~ bar on the Index name and pressing ENTER
  112. you can select a particular Index to read.  Once this has
  113. been selected, another window will appear with the
  114. contents of that Index file.
