  6. TPE.EXE is an editor for the pilot file in TIE Fighter Game
  7. by LucasArt Entertainment Company. The editor is free BUT this
  8. file must follow the editor. For more see below.

  10. The editor allows you to change:

  13.     Rank
  14.     Rating
  15.     Rank in the Emperors secret order
  16.  
  17.     Training certificats
  18.     Medallions
  19.  
  20.     Number of destroyed ships (of every types you can destroy)
  21.     Number of captured ships
  22.     Number of lost ships
  23.     Laser Hits and total shot
  24.     Warhead Hits and total shot
  25.  
  26.     Total battle score
  27.     Skill
  28.  
  29.     Finished training
  30.     Training score
  31.     Finished combat missions
  32.     Combat mission score
  33.  
  34.     Number of finished missions in battle
  35.     Score
  36.     Secondary and bonus medals
  37.

  42.                     How to handle the thing

  46. To start the editor just type TPE.EXE and there it is. First you have to
  47. choose a pilot file either through an existing file or a brand new one.
  48. Be carefull to really select a TIE pilot file because there exist no checks 
  49. for that. Then select the Pilot menu and go ahead.

  51. Is you save your changes then the old setting is saved into a file named
  52. [pilotname].bak.

  54. The editor changes ONLY the first part of the pilot file so your backup
  55. part is unchanged.

  57. The handling of the editor should be self-explaining (or if not send me a
  58. mail and I make a helpfile - that I louth to do).
