- I'm currently a 3D Studio user looking to crossover into using
- Lightwave 4.0. Can anyone recommend a mailorder company that does the
- best deal on the full latest version (not a so-called 'educational'
- package though)? Is $750 the best price around?
-
- Any and all info and advice is gratefully appreciated! Replies by
- email are best.
-
- Thanks in advance!

- : Ok here goes:
-
- : Screamernet path settings (Launched from an Icon)
- : Target Location: Programs
- : Target: E:\Newtek\PROGRAMS\LWSN.EXE -2 e:\newtek\programs\job1 e:\newtek\programs\ack1
- : Start In: E:\Newtek\Programs
-
- You neglect to say where you are running the ScreamerNEt icon from. Is it
- on another machine attached thru the network. If so, You have to realize
- that SN will read the LW.cfg file located in the host machine's
- E:Newtek\Programs dir. There it will find that the Content Directory is
- set to ???. If it is set to E:\Newtek (for example) and the SN machine is
- not connected to the host machine as E:\, then E:\Newtek may mean nothing
- to the SN node machine, or it's E:/ drive may exist, but not be where the
- proper content is loaded. This would cause the ultrafast rendering
- (nothing in the "scene").
-
- Hope this helps...
