- On this disk you will find a demonstration version of ReSource, an
- interactive disassembler for the Amiga. There are only three functions
- disabled in this demo version, those being "Save .asm", "Save partial .asm",
- and "Save .RS". "Save .asm" and "Save partial .asm" allows you to save an
- assembler source code file (text), and "Save .RS" allows you to save a
- complete image of the file that you are working on, so that you (or someone
- else) may continue disassembling at a later time. The real thing may be
- purchased from the author: (A$80)

- This disk may be freely distributed for demonstration purposes. No
- charge may be made for distribution, other than a small copying fee. Fred
- Fish is welcome to distribute these files.
-
- Copy protection:
- This demo version of ReSource is of course not copy protected. There
- is only one form of copy protection on the commercial version of ReSource,
- that is a serial number embedded in each copy sold. The serial number is
- embedded in an extremely unusual way, and removal of it is considered
- impossible at this point in time. Please keep this in mind, and don't leave
- your disks where someone else may steal copies of them. Future upgrades will
- be available for the cost of disks, postage and handling.
-
- NOTE:
- This is version 0.36 of the ReSource demo. The docs included on this
- disk do not reflect this. ReSource can now load any file, providing that
- there is enough memory. You are not restricted to normal load files anymore.
- There is no special syntax, if ReSource does not recognize a file as either a
- load file or a .RS file, it will load it as a straight binary image file.
- One added function which needs some explaining is "Save partial .asm". To
- save part of a disassembled file, select "CURSOR/Remember" at the start,
- scroll to the end of the area to be saved, and select "Save partial .asm".
- If you scroll backwards after selecting "CURSOR/Remember" and save partial,
- that will work too. Several options were added, there usage should be
- obvious from the menus. Several functions in earlier demo versions were
- buggy, they are now fixed. It was only the demo versions that had these
- problems, not the real thing.
-
- If you "run addbeep" in your startup-sequence, instead of the screen
- flashing when an error occurs, you will hear an audible beep, which I find to
- be better feedback.
