  9. choice of two main regions:
  10. Around Lisbon,the capital
  11. with the resorts of Cascais
  12. and estoril on the Atlantic
  13. seaboard, and the Algarve
  14. on Portugals southern coast.

  16. The Lisbon coastal area is
  17. warn is summer but because
  18. it is open to the Atlantic
  19. can be very cool in winter.

  21. summers and relatively mild
  22. winters.

  27. are dozens of major and
  28. minor resorts to choose

  30. neccesarily the best

  35. biggest and an attractive
  36. resort for the family)

  45. The Portuguese seem to
  46. recall the long alliance
  47. between the British and
  48. themselves and are a
  49. friendly people.Many
  50. understand English quite
  51. well.

  54. huge number of golf courses
  55. available on the Algarve and
  56. specialist golifng holidays
  57. are a major attraction.

  60. expensive as Spain,it has
  61. become more so of late, yet
  62. a budget holiday is still
  63. possible,especially in
  64. Winter.
