  2. This sub-tree of "The Internet MPEG CD-Rom" is a copy of the
  3. famous Internet-Underground-Music-Archive, called IUMA.
  4.  
  5. It contains lots of independend and unknown bands and
  6. their music, most of them stored in MPEG's audio-format.
  7.  
  8. Most of the MPEG-streams, plus description-files and
  9. photos of the band are included here, but not everything,
  10. because the IUMA-archive is TOO big to put on one CD-ROM.
  11.  
  12. Read the README.TXT-file, all files in the INFO-dir,
  13. specially those containing the copyright-information.
  14. YOU have to stick to them as well !
  15.  
  16. The bands and their music is stored in the MUSIC-dir,
  17. some Mosaic-WWW-pages (in PostScript-format) are stored
  18. in the WWW-dir.
  19.  
  20. The bands always have a sub-dir on their own in
  21. the MUSIC-directory-tree. Therein you find a IMAGES-,
  22. a SOUNDS- and a TEXT-directory; the IMAGES-dir
  23. contains pictures of the band, the SOUNDS-dir the
  24. actual MPEG-stream (most the times their three versions
  25. of one songs, the one differing with a starting M is
  26. the mono-streams, the one with a starting E an excerp,
  27. meaning just a little piece of the songs).

  29. The names of the files had to be change to fullfil
  30. the need of the ISO-9660-norm for the CD-ROM file-
  31. system. Have a look into the 00INDEX.TXT-file to
  32. get a short descriptions of the songs and the bands.
  33. Have a look into the MUSIC/00INDEX.TXT-file for the
  34. complete names of the bands.
