NAME
AddCall
DESCRIPTION
AddCall is a tool that lets you easily add calls to the NComm.log
logfile. If the NComm: device is present, it tries to open the
NComm:NComm.log file for writing. If it doesn't exist, the file will
be created. If the NComm: device is not present, it will look for
the file in the current directory and follow the same procedure.
AddCall can be a handy utility if you want to log calls that are made
outside the NComm program, for example when dialling manually or when
utilising another terminal program.
Simply enter the programname from CLI to start the program. The
program can also be started from Workbench, simply click on the icon.
How does it work? First, enter the name of the board or person you
are calling in the box marked "Name:" (this is actually optional, but
usually preferable).
Then, enter the phonenumber (or only the trunk code, if you're a lazy
typer) in the box marked "Phone #:". Enter only numbers, no garbage,
so that CallInfo can recognize the number. If the current call uses
the default rate, this can be skipped.
Finally, make your call. When connection is established, press the
gadget marked "Click here:". When your call has ended, press the
gadget again, and an entry will be added to the logfile. Repeat the
procedure until you have made your calls. The program can then be
exit by pressing the closegadget in the top left corner. Pressing
this gadget during a call will abort the current call, and not add it
to the logfile.
