checknews - check for unread news

_C_h_e_c_k_n_e_w_s informs the user whether he has unread news. It
is suitable for running from a ....pppprrrrooooffffiiiilllleeee (or ....llllooooggggiiiinnnn if you
use a certain non-standard shell) file.
_C_h_e_c_k_n_e_w_s normally runs _r_e_a_d_n_e_w_s(1) with the ----cccc option. As
a heuristic concession to practicality, if the user has a
....rrrrnnnnllllaaaasssstttt file in his $HOME directory, _c_h_e_c_k_n_e_w_s runs
rrrrnnnn ----cccc ----ssss3333 instead.
