-- this is a quick&dirty "translation" of the german "XPRD.dok". Don't
expect to much, but it should give you a quick hint how things work...

X V1.05 / 30.1.1991
/ \
/ \PRD is a utility designed for doing file transfers via the XPR.libs
with a standalone CLI command or from other programms (BBS, Points). It
offers ability to set every XPR parameter from the commandline. Also, XPRD
allows real batch upload (not to be mixed up with the pretty useless
pattern matching...)
The calling sequence of XPRD is
XPRD [-options] SEND|RECEIVE [File1 [file2...]]
SEND or RECEIVE (distinguished only by the first letter) design to transfer
operation to be done. File1 ... give the files to be send (or to be
received with non-batch-protocols). If you leave out filenames, a default
filename of "NAPFSUELZE" will be used (for batch-DL only).
The following options are avaible:
-l<libname> XPR-Library to use (default is "xprzmodem.library")
-o<string> option string for XProtocolSetup().
-d<devname> defines the serial-IO device to be used. Default
is "serial.device"
-u<unit> defines the serial-IO device UNIT to be used.
Default is "0"
-b<num> defines the size of the read buffer. If this
is missed out (or 0), the default value from
the device setup is used
-x<baud> defines the speed of the serial device. If this
is missed out, the default value from the
device setup is used
-p<xpos,ypos> defines the XPRD-window's X and Y position
-n no delay after end of transfer
-f forces the XPRD-window to be opened on the
frontmost screen
-s forces the serial device to be opened in SHARED
mode
-c activates carrier detect (will be checked on
every call to xpr_chkabort())
-i display version and copyright information
The following XPR-routines are implemented yet:
fopen,fclose,fread,fwrite,fseek,finfo,ffirst,fnext
sread,swrite,sflush
displayupdate,checkabort,unlink
