  1. These are utilities which go along with the ASDG Recoverable Ram Disk. These
  2. programs can go  in  the System directory as they have icons (which are also
  3. included here).

  5. Many of these files need to be uudecoded.

  13.             ram disk, you agree to redistribute this file along
  14.             with the others)

  16.     SysMon        This is a system performance monitor which also
  17.             show memory usage on a per board basis.
  18.  
  19.     FastMem        Will toggle all of your fast ram on or off. Useful
  20.             for getting 1.1  programs  which don't allocate
  21.             memory correctly to work again. Run sysmon then
  22.             click on fastmem a few times (if you fave fast
  23.             ram).

  25.     CleanRamDisk    This is an important utility. The ASDG recoverable
  26.             ram disk allocates and deallocates disk memory dy-
  27.             namically. Some memory management decisions are made
  28.             only periodically (to improve performance). If you
  29.             want to force the ram disk driver to go through all
  30.             of its memory management tricks on demand (rather
  31.             than waiting for the driver to do it on its own) then
  32.             invoke CleanRamDisk.

  34.             This will cause empty tracks to be deallocted immed-
  35.             iately and then the driver will check to see if any
  36.             tracks in chip ram can be moved to fast ram.

  38.             Keep and use this utility.
  39.  
  40.     DeleteRamDisk    Every once in a while you may want to deliberately
  41.             completely wipe out the ram disk. This program will
  42.             perform this function (though not immediately). The
  43.             ram disk will be completely empty and fresh the next
  44.             time you reboot.
