The VAUX-Killer Demo is the 2nd Place Winner in BADGE Killer Demo Contest 2.
It also received the special award for Funniest Demo.
The VAUX-Killer Demo requires two disks; TVKD1 and TVKD2. The disk takes 11
minutes to load off the floppies; hit the "p" key to start the demo once
it has loaded and a white screen is being displayed.
To put the demo on a hard disk:
Make a directory, name it anything you wish
Make two directories in this directory; name them TVKD1 and TVKD2
Copy contents of disk TVKD1: in the TVKD1 directory
Copy contents of disk TVKD2: in the TVKD2 directory
Copy the file VAUX-KillerDemo.HD (and its .info file) from TVKD1:
into your top-level directory
Double-clicking on the VAUX-KillerDemo.HD icon should run the demo;
make sure you take the disks TVKD1: and TVKD2: out first
The demo takes about 3 minutes to load off a GVP 80 Meg Quantum;
might take more or less on other disks
Editors Note:
As originally received, the files for TVKD2: took up almost
an entire disk (there were just 5 blocks free), while the
TVKD1: disk had 90 blocks free. In order to better balance
the two disks and make room on TVKD2 for my normal distribution
files, I moved a couple of files as follows:
TVKD2:Roger/HowAboutThis.snd -> TVKD1:Roger
TVKD2:Roger/OK.snd -> TVKD1:Roger
and then "newzap'd" the TVKD.ms file to change the appropriate
occurances of TVKD2 to TVKD1.
In the above instructions for copying to a hard disk, replace
TVKD1: with AmigaLibDisk265:VAUX-Killer and TVKD2: with
AmigaLibDisk266:VAUX-Killer.
