  1. This is disk 535 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  2. Below is a listing of the significant directories and their contents.

  5. Accent        A universal accented character converter for Amiga, IBM-PC,
  6.         MacIntosh, and C64 files written in most West European
  7.         languages (Danish, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Islandic,
  8.         Norwegian, Spanish, Swedish, and more.  Works with either
  9.         ASCII or Word Perfect files.  This is a major update to
  10.         version 1.5 on disk 454 (where it was called Vortex).
  11.         New features include a graphical user interface, simple
  12.         file reader, and copy option.  Binary only.

  15. ArcL        A utility that lists your ZOO, ARC and LZH Archives with
  16.         automatic type detection.  Includes german version and
  17.         documentation.  Version 1.0, binary only.

  20. BizCalc        A do-it-all user friendly loan calculator that calculates
  21.         weekly and biweekly loans.  Can generate amortization
  22.         tables to the screen, to the printer, or to a file.  Uses
  23.         menus, bottons, or keyboard commands, and iconifies.
  24.         Has six decimal precision option and more.  This is
  25.         version 1.2, an update to version 1.1 on disk 493.

  29. Flat        A filing system handler which implements block-mapped filing
  30.         devices such as available under Un*x.  Read and write calls
  31.         are mapped to low-level system IO operations which allow to
  32.         treat devices such as df0:, dh0:, rad:, etc. as big data
  33.         files.  These `virtual' files can be copied, read and
  34.         written just like any standard AmigaDOS file.  It is even
  35.         possible to copy a whole disk with the CLI `Copy' command or
  36.         to archive disks with LhArc and the like.  Written as a
  37.         supplement for the Amiga `tar' program.  Version 1.3,
  38.         includes source in `C'.

  41. Format        A replacement for the Workbench 2.x `Format' command with
  42.         many additional features and a basic gadtools interface.
  43.         Can be made resident and sports a number of additional
  44.         command line options.  Also included is a code fragment
  45.         which will correctly initialize data media of any size
  46.         (floppy disks or hard disk partitions) which works both
  47.         under Kickstart 1.2/1.3 and 2.x.  Version 1.1, includes
  48.         source in `C' and assembly language.  AmigaOS 2.x required.

  51. FracBlank       A commodities screen blanker written for AmigaOS release
  52.         2.x.  When running will blank the screen and start to draw
  53.         real plane fractals such as described in the September 1986
  54.         issue of Scientific American.  The resulting images may
  55.         remind you of spiders' webs, lace or even the Chladnian
  56.         patterns formed by grains of sand strewn across a vibrating
  57.         surface.  Version 1.4, includes source in `C' and assembly
  58.         language.  AmigaOS 2.x required.

  61. Icon         A tool which patches Workbench 2.x online to supply default
  62.         icons for about 45 different file types ranging from LhArc
  63.         archives to object code files.  Enhances the `Show All
  64.         Files' option of Workbench which by default only knows two
  65.         types of file icons: Tool and Project.  If enabled scans
  66.         all files in a directory which do not have an icon file
  67.         supplied and tries to determine their file types.  When
  68.         done, tricks Workbench into believing that there are proper
  69.         icons for these files in the directory.  Includes source in
  70.         `C' and assembly language.  AmigaOS 2.x required.

  73. KeyMacro    A keyboard macro program, configurable via a text file, that
  74.         also supports hotkey program execution.  You can map up to
  75.         eight functions to each key, including keys such as cursor
  76.         keys, the return key, etc.  Version 1.12 with a number bug
  77.         fixes and enhancements, an update to version 1.8 on disk
  78.         436.  Includes source in `C' and assembly language.

  81. SetBatt        A tool to set the configuration information saved in the
  82.         nonvolatile ram of the A3000 clock chip.  Allows you to
  83.         adjust the SCSI select timeout and other system settings.
  84.         Includes source in `C' and assembly language.  AmigaOS 2.x
  85.         required.

  88. termLite    A tiny, almost brain dead telecommunications program written
  89.         for AmigaOS release 2.x.  Can be made resident, supports cut
  90.         & paste from console window, written as a simple interface
  91.         to the serial/parallel device driver.  Version 1.0, includes
  92.         source in `C'.  AmigaOS 2.x required.
