  13. This file contains important information,so please read it carefully before
  14. doing anything else.

  16. OctaMED  is  a music editor, which was originally designed for making music
  17. for programs (demos, games etc..), but it works well as a stand-alone music
  18. program, too.
  19.  
  20. OctaMED needs Kickstart 1.2 or later, is compatible with AmigaDOS 2.0, runs
  21. on  any  Amiga  from  A500  to  A3000,  and  multitasks  correctly (even in
  22. eight channel mode).

  24. Here are the contents of the complete OctaMED distribution disk:

  36. The  icons were designed to have a nice 2.0-look.  If you are using WB 1.x,
  37. the icon colours look "inversed".
  38.  
  39. First you should make a backup copy of your original OctaMED disk, and save
  40. the original in safe place.  If you want to install OctaMED on a hard disk,
  41. you  have  to remember to copy the graphics files (Am-Nuts.gfxX) along with
  42. it.   These  files contain some graphics data required by OctaMED, and they
  43. must be in the current directory when you run OctaMED.  If WB is used, just
  44. make  sure that OctaMED and the files are located in the same drawer.  From
  45. CLI/Shell, you have to 'CD' to the directory where all the files are before
  46. starting OctaMED.
