  12.     Dear Amiga user,
  13.     
  14.     This program was put into the public domain  at  the  request  of  its
  15.     author, Rick Stiles. It was created in 1986 in order to give the Amiga
  16.     community  a more powerful and reconfigurable editor. With the help of
  17.     some excellent user feedback, it developed into what is  probably  one
  18.     of the most outstanding works of art in the Amiga world.
  19.     
  20.     Although Uedit was designed with technical users in mind, it has many
  21.     word processing features that makes it a valuable tool for any Amiga
  22.     user.
  23.     
  24.     Rick is no longer with us, but perhaps his legacy may continue through
  25.     this  remarkable  program.  It was also his request that the source be
  26.     included in the public domain so that Uedit may continue to grow. 
  27.     
  28.     In order to help you realize the full  potential  of  Uedit,  you  may
  29.     obtain  the  complete  printed  user  reference  manual at the address
  30.     below.  As is usually the case, the manual  trails  behind  the  final
  31.     update, (V3.0).  However, the manual updates are in the Errata file on
  32.     this  disk. This PD version is called V4.0 to avoid any confusion with
  33.     the shareware or other versions.
