S-U program
S-U converts the UE program to look in a U: directory instead of in S: for
Uedit's files.
It allows you to keep Data!, Config!, Help!, Key-Help, and stored learn mode
sequences in a U: directory; you can Assign U: wherever you want. (Many have
complained that S: is too crowded.)
In order to be converted by S-U, UE needs to be either in the current
directory or in C:.
WARNING: Uedit patches won't install in a UE program that is using U:
instead of S:, because the CRC of UE won't match up with the release being
patched. To apply a patch, go back to the original UE program that you
received on disk (or last applied a patch to).
NOTE: S-U merely writes "U" to the UE program at byte 60, overwriting the
"S" that is there. Note that you could as easily use NewZap to do this; at
byte 60 in UE there should be either "S:\0\0" or "U:\0\0", and it is okay to
replace the "S" with "U" or vice versa.
