RDBInfo.doc
~~~~~~~~~~~
version 0.17 (14-Nov-92)
© Gérard Cornu
RDBInfo is ©1992 Gérard Cornu, but freely redistributable. When re-
distributing don't forget to include this unmodified doc file. And
don't charge more than the cost of an AmigaLib disk from Fred FISH.
This program cannot be used for commercial purposes, or included on
magazine's cover disks without the written permission of the author.
Peter Miles (see end of file*) is obviously granted permission to
include it in any ICPUG Amiga library disk ;-).
Fred Fish is obviously allowed to include it in its unique
AmigaLibDisk library.
Thierry Colin ("Amiga DP", french Amiga ONLY PD magazine) is also
authorised to include it in the french PD collection "DPAT" (Domaine
Public Amiga Toulouse).
Intro:
~~~~~~
RDBInfo reads the RigidDiskBlock of the unit and device given as
arguments, then displays the most interesting parts.
Usage:
~~~~~~
RDBInfo is a shell only command, the format is:
RDBInfo [device device.name] [unit unit_number]
(unit is the SCSI ID of the device, from 0 to 6, 7 most probably being
your controller ID).
ie:
RDBInfo device scsi.device unit 6
The defaults, if no arguments are given, are:
device scsi.device and unit 0.
Credits:
~~~~~~~~
RDBInfo is based upon a C source 'readrdsk.c' that I found in one
of the Usenet comp.sys.amiga newsgroup, most probably comp.sys.amiga.
hardware. Problem is that I don't remember the name of the author,
I didn't save the poster's header :-(. That'll teach me! I think
it was Randell Jesup, ...or Ralph Babel or maybe ...Dave Haynie?
Sorry for this memory failure, trust me, now I save the header with
every post!
