  10. DESCRIPTION

  12.     MUI Fido File Request is a GUI for selecting files from a filelist,
  13.     which almost every Fidonet mailbox provides for download.
  14.  
  15.     The list of selected files is written to a .REQ-file in your
  16.     outbound directory.
  17.  
  18.     The next time you call up your Fido Boss these files are
  19.     automatically downloaded by your Fidonet communications software.

  46.     MUIFFR 1.1 is pretty much self-explanatory.
  47.  
  48.     Configuration window:
  49.  
  50.     - For every node you can define an alias, a node number,
  51.       a telephone number, a password, a filelist associated
  52.       with this alias and a font compatible with this filelist.
  53.       MUIFFR automatically recognizes, if this list has been
  54.       packed with an XPK-packer, and unpacks it, when nescessary.
  55.  
  56.     - When you press the 'Download' button of the main window,
  57.       your Fido communications software, e. g. TrapDoor,
  58.       is invoked. If you did not specify a phone number
  59.       for the current node, the contents of the 'Via Node'
  60.       string gadget (otherwise 'Via Number') are used for
  61.       invoking your Fido software.

  63.       Following format specifiers are recognized.

  65.         %t  telephone number
  66.         %n  node number
  67.         %l  nodelist directory
  68.         %p  password

  72.       The current node has a telephone number:

  76.       The current node does not have a telephone number. It is
  77.       extracted out of the nodelist by your Fido software.

  81.     - The outbound directory is the placed, where the .REQ-file is to
  82.       be stored to.

  84.     - Termination: Is every line of the .REQ-file to be terminated with
  85.       a linefeed character (dec.: 10) or with an carriage return (dec.: 13)
  86.       and a linefeed?

  88.     - Filename position: Which word of the selected line is to be extracted
  89.       as the filename?

  91.     Main window:
  92.     - Password: Select one or more files and then press this button.
  93.       The password is now appended to each of them. Do not mistake
  94.       this password, which gives you download access to certain files,
  95.       by your personal password, with the help of which you are allowed
  96.       to download at all.

  98.     - Filenames can be im- or exported via the clipboard (RAmiga-C/V/X).

  100.     - Insert: The contents of the string gadget beneath the 'selected
  101.       files' listview gadget is appended to the list of these files.

  103.     - Delete: One or more filenames are deleted from the list.

  105.     - Load: The .REQ-file is loaded, if it exists.

  107.     - Save: The .REQ-file is saved to the outbound directory using
  108.       4D addressing. If no file has been selected, but a .REQ-file
  109.       already exists, then this file is deleted.
