  8.   Thank you for downloading WinDrag.
  9.   WinDrag is an utility to expand your Windows Desktop.  If you work with
  10. many windows and they are clustering your Desktop, WinDrag will assist you
  11. by expanding the Desktop so windows could be more organized.
  12.   WinDrag allows you to move to other locations on a Desktop by using a
  13. keyboard or a mouse.  It also supports panning (using your mouse) and MoveBar
  14. (an icon bar displayed on the title bar) to assist you move through the
  15. Extended Desktop much more easily than most other utilities.

  20.         4MB or more RAM memory

  42. Installation *****************************************************************
  43.   Copy WINDRAG.EXE, DRAGHK.DLL, and GTOCOM.DLL files to a same directory.
  44.   Execute the WINDRAG.EXE file from Windows by using either the File Manager
  45. or the Program Manager.  If you desire to have the WinDrag started every
  46. time Windows is started, place the WinDrag icon in the StartUp group in the
  47. Program Manager.

  49. How to Use WinDrag **********************************************************
  50.  1. General Operations
  51.    (a) An active window may be moved by pressing the left mouse button and
  52.        dragging the mouse pointer on the Desktop.  The window will move in
  53.        the direction and in amount relative to the movement of the mouse
  54.        pointer.
  55.    (b) All windows may be moved at once by pressing the right mouse button
  56.        and dragging the mouse pointer on the Desktop.  All windows will move
  57.        in the direction and in amount relative to the movement of the mouse
  58.        pointer.
  59.    (c) To display the MoveBar, click the right mouse button on the Desktop.
  60.        (Do not move the mouse while clicking! It will move all the windows
  61.         instead.)  Click the right mouse button on the MoveBar to remove it
  62.        from the screen.
  63.  2. WinDrag Window
  64.    To open the WinDrag Window, double-click the left mouse button on the
  65.    WinDrag icon, select WinDrag from the TaskManager, or choose [DRAG]
  66.    button in the MoveBar. 
  67.    Opened windows are displayed as white rectangles.
  68.    Currently displayed area in the virtual Desktop is displayed as dark
  69.    colored rectangle.
  70.    (a) An window may be moved by moving the mouse pointer to the window to be
  71.        moved.  Press down the left mouse button and drag it to where you want
  72.        it to be moved.
  73.    (b) To move all windows at once, move the mouse pointer to the virtual 
  74.        Desktop (light grey area).  Press down the right mouse button and drag
  75.        the windows to where you want them to be moved.
  76.    (c) All windows may also be moved at once using a keyboard.
  77.        Select the WinDrag Window and use the left, right, up, and down arrow
  78.        keys to move windows in the respective direction.
  79.    (d) Color of each rectangle can be changed to distinguish it from other
  80.        rectangles (Example: making the rectangle corresponding to the Program
  81.        Manager red).  This will not actually change the color of the related
  82.        window.
  83.        Click the right mouse button the rectangle. A color pallete dialog box
  84.        will appear.  Choose the color you want the rectangle to be, and choose
  85.        the [OK] button.
  86.    (e) To move a window to the center of the screen, double-click on the
  87.        rectangle corresponding to the window you want to display.
  88.    (f) To change to resolution of the visual Desktop, choose the [2], [3], or
  89.        [4] button.

  94.    (g) To display free memory space, choose the magnifying glass button.
  95.        Free memory space will be displayed below and free system resource
  96.        (displayed to the right of the magnifying glass) will be updated.
  97.        Color of the bar in the free system resource will change from green
  98.        to yellow to red to warn the user.
  99.    (h) Options
  100.       (1) DispType
  101.       -Layout
  102.         Automatically spread out the windows.
  103.       -Cascade
  104.         Cascade all the windows on the screen.
  105.       (2) Replace
  106.         When Replace is checked, double-clicking the left mouse
  107.         button will replace the clicked window with the top most
  108.         window that entirely displayed on the screen.
  109.       (3) DragMode
  110.       -ON    Able window to be moved by dragging a mouse pointer on a
  111.         Desktop.
  112.           -OFF    Disable windows to be moved by dragging a mouse pointer on a
  113.         Desktop.  MoveBar is displayed at the upper right corner of
  114.         the screen when DragMode is set to OFF.

  118.  3. Maximize Windows
  119.    When a window is maximized, MoveBar is displayed in the left part of the 
  120.    title bar.
  121.  4. MoveBar
  122.    (a) To open the WinDrag Window, choose the [DRAG] button.
  123.    (b) To move all windows, choose the arrow keys corresponding to the
  124.        direction to which you want the windows to be moved.

  126. Warnings *********************************************************************
  127.  1. MoveBar may not display properly on some system with high resolution
  128.     display boards.
  129.  2. Minimized windows can not be moved off screen.
  130.  3. Only up to 36 windows may be opened.
  131.  4. WinDrag itself can not be moved off the screen.
  132.  5. A window can not be moved beyond the virtual Desktop. When it is
  133.     attempted, it will be moved back to its original location.

  136.     The resolution of the virtual Desktop shown in the WinDrag icon (when 
  137.     WinDrag is minimized) is set to 16 times the actual Desktop size.
