.
.
TOPIC #1 GENERAL FILES SECTION
Select the [A] option from the Main Menu to go to the G-Files
section. Here you will find different kinds of ASCII and ANSI
files for you to view and download.
.
TOPIC #2 BBS LISTING (User maintained)
Select the [B] option from the Main Menu to enter into the
"BBS LIST." This area is for syops of other systems to
advertise their boards. It should contain relevant infor-
mation such as the bbs name, sysop, phone number, number of
megs online, maximum baud rate, and bbs software.
.
TOPIC #3 CHAT WITH THE SYSOP
Select the [C] option from the Main Menu to enter into the
"CHAT" mode, by paging the SysOp. If the SysOp is not
available, you will be notified. If he is available, you
will enter chat mode momentarily. If the sysop does not
answer right away wait a few moments before hanging up. He
may wish to chat with you, but it may take a minute or so
before he can get to the computer.
.
TOPIC #4 DATABASES (User maintained)
Select the [D] option from the Main Menu to enter the
DATABASE SECTION. From the Database Menu you will be able
to choose between several different databases, add your
own database or a single entry, list its contents, perform
newscans and database searches. Additional help screens
may be read from the Database Menu.
.
TOPIC #5 E-MAIL
Select the [E] option from the Main Menu to enter the
E-MAIL SECTION. From the E-Mail Menu you will be able to
list, view, send, receive or delete E-Mail and "Zippy-Mail".
The messages you send via e-mail will be private. Users
other than the recipient will not be able to read them.
Remember to check for new e-mail each time you log on, and
be sure to delete your e-mail once you have finished reading
it.
.
TOPIC #6 FILE TRANSFERS (UPLOADS & DOWNLOADS)
Select the [F] or [T] option from the Main Menu to enter the
FILE TRANSFER SECTION. The File Transfer Menu allows you
to select between file areas, perform newscans, search for
files, read ASCII text files online, and upload and download
files to the bbs.
If you are calling with a US Robotics HST modem use
Y-modem-G or Zmodem for file transfers. If you are calling
at 24oo baud, use Bi-modem to send files, receive files, and
chat simultaneously!
Always do a file search to make sure the file you want
to upload is not already online. Be sure to upload files
into the correct file area, and make sure you leave a good
description of the file. If you batch upload and can't
stay awake long enough to enter the file descriptions after
the transfer has been completed, make sure you first leave
[S]ysop Feedback with complete file descriptions. Don't
upload files which are more than a couple of months old
without the sysop's permission.
.
TOPIC #7 GOODBYE (SYSTEM LOG-OFF)
Select the [G] option from the Main Menu to LOG-OFF from
this system. This feature will formally end your tele-
communication session, and allow you to leave a message to
the sysop or the next user, at your option. Typing
[/OFF] at the Main Menu logs you off the bbs immediately.
.
TOPIC #8 HELP SCREENS
The [H] option from the Main Menu displays this help screen.
.

infoform. If you move or you change your phone number, put
this information in the new infoform.

TOPIC #12 LIST USERS
Select the [L] option from the Main Menu to list user names

MESSAGE SECTION. From the Message Menu you will be able
to select between several different areas of interest,
post, edit, read, newscan and delete messages. The messages
you post in these areas will be public, and available for
all users to read.
Remember to post messages in their proper area
according to topic. Always read your messages over before
saving them, and correct any mistakes. NEVER war with other
users unless the sysop has set up a special message area for
this purpose. Try to post interesting messages and keep the
message areas rolling. The message areas are the soul of
the bbs.

in uploading, downloading or other problems with the bbs,
be sure to send the sysop feedback about it.
.
TOPIC #21 USER CONFIGURATION
Select the [U] option from the Main Menu to alter
your PERSONAL CONFIGURATION file. You may change your
display characteristics, terminal emulation, screen colors,
and message signature. If you have an IBM compatible
computer which can display ANSI, be sure to enable ANSI
graphics in your setup to get the most out of this bbs.
.
TOPIC #22 VOTING BOOTH

yourself how you can contribute to the bbs, and become a
better user.
