ADDING BY USER
Fill in the following fields:
User Name
This is the name of the user to whom you are assigning permissions. It
can be up to 10 characters long. The user name you assign must be unique.
Password
This is the password that will be associated with the user name you just
entered. As you type, asterisks will appear. You must enter the password
twice to ensure that there are no unwitting mistakes. The password can be
any combination of letters and numerals.

ENTERING PERMISSIONS BY USER
Fill in the following two fields:
Module
This is the name of the module for which you want to define the user's
permissions. It can be any PRO-C generated program. However, the
programmed must be generated to reference the password file you are
creating.
Permissions:
Any combination of the following permissions is valid:
A Add
C Change
I Inquire
D Delete
When you have filled in these fields, you will be asked if you want to
give other permissions to the same user.

Module

Specify the name of the user you want to delete from the password file.
Press <F2> for a list of users.

CHANGE USER PICK LIST
This list displays the users in the password file. Select the user for
whom you want to change permissions.

GIVE USER MORE PERMISSIONS?
If you want to give this user permissions for another module, answer 'Y'.
Otherwise, answer 'N'. When you answer 'N' you will return to the screen
in which you added a user to the system. To return to the main menu from
there press <Esc>.

If you want to give this user, permissions for another module, answer 'Y'.
Otherwise, answer 'N'. When you answer 'N' you will return main menu.

DELETE BY MODULE PICK LIST
This list displays the modules in the password file. Select the module
that you want to delete.

INQUIRE BY USER
From the list of users in the password file, choose the one whose
permissions you want to see.
You can highlight a user by pressing the first letter of the name you
want to highlight. <Home>, <End>, <PgUp>, and <PgDn> are operative in
the list of users.

INQUIRE BY USER - MODULE LIST
This list displays the permissions that this user has to various modules.
The following codes represent permissions.
A Add
C Change
I Inquire
D Delete

From the list of modules in the password file, choose the one for which you
want to see the permissions.
You can highlight a module by pressing the first letter of the name you
want to highlight. <Home>, <End>, <PgUp>, and <PgDn> are operative in the
list of users.

KEYS
You can work in the password administration module "by user" or "by module".
Working by user means that you work with one user at a time and give that
user permissions for multiple modules. Work by user when you want to add a
user to an existing system or change a users permissions within the system.
Working by module means that you work with one module at a time and give
multiple users permissions for that module. Work by module when you are
adding a module to a system or changing the general restrictions on it.

This list displays the permissions that users have to this module. The
following codes represent permissions.

THE PASSWORD ADMINISTRATION MODULE
The Password Administration Module allows you to control who has access to
the various parts of your system. You can also control what kind of
permission each user has to alter or view the contents of a file through a
specific program.
Add
Add users or modules to the password file.
Change
Change users' permissions
Delete
Delete users or module from the password file.
Inquire
Inquire about a user's permissions or about permissions to a specific
module.
Keys
Choose to work "by user" or "by module"
Exit
Return to the operating system.
