Due to the large number of callers accessing this system, we ask that all
callers please abide by the policies below in order to insure others can
access this system in a timely manner, and also so that they do not have
to expend their long distance phone time in reading mail which is of
little interest to them:
* Please, no 'ads' for your BBS, software or hardware sales ...
* Please keep all messages short and to the point ...
* Please, no 'carbon copy' messages unless absolutely necessary ...
* Sorry, but we can not answer any questions on third party software
programs such as DOOR and utility programs ...
* If you want to have your BBS' information listed in our National PCBoard
BBS list, you must complete (S)cript Questionnaire 1. Sorry, but we
can not update the list from a message or comment left - only Script
responses are used ...
* If you are placing an order, you must complete (S)cript Questionnaire 2!
Sorry, but we can not process an order request from a message or comment
left here. The bank requires that we have on-file a complete Script
response in order to process any VISA or MC order ...
* If you leave a message for help - please describe FULLY the problem!
About 50% of the messages left for help just say (literally), that
"My system just failed - please help!" 99% of those type problems
are found to be caused by simple configuration errors. But, without
specifics, we can not be of assistance! We truely want to help you
with any system problem you are having which is PCBoard related.
However, without complete details of the problem, you will end up
spending many lost phone calls in further describing the problem to
us as we will undoubtably request you do.
Your cooperation with the above items will make this system easier for all
to access and will allow us to respond to your needs in a timely and
professional manner. One other item of note - the Salt Air system is
supported by professional folks who actually write and run the code you do.
They spend many long hours to insure the code you receive is free of bugs
and operates as you expect. If it doesn't, please let us know - but in a
manner which relfects the 'professional' way in which business is conducted
here. Profanity, ridicule, and emotional comments/messages have no place
here and may be responded to 'in-kind'.
Thanks again for your support of PCBoard - #1 in BBS software!
