  8.           Dear  Open  Systems   Environment  Implementors'  Workshop  (OIW)
  9.           Participant:

  11.           It's  time to  register  for  the upcoming  Workshop  to be  held
  12.           December 12-16, 1994, at the National  Institute of Standards and
  13.           Technology, Gaithersburg, Maryland.  
  14.  
  15.           The  Workshop continues  to  work  on a  suite  of IPS  profiles.
  16.           Several will be progressed  to Stable and some  new ones will  be
  17.           considered  for inclusion as  Working Agreements.   This work may
  18.           become a candidate   for inclusion in a  future Federal Standard,
  19.           Profiles for Open Systems Internetworking Technologies (POSIT).
  20.  
  21.           The   Conformance   Testing   SIG    will   continue   work    on
  22.           Interoperability  Testing methodologies.   This is part  of their
  23.           newly  expanded Charter program of work.  Active participation of
  24.           European Open  Systems Workshop's (EWOS)  Conformance Testing SIG
  25.           is expected.
  26.  
  27.           The Healthcare SIG is expanding its work into areas of Healthcare
  28.           Information Infrastructure  and  the  Electronic  Commerce  Study
  29.           Group  will   be  working  on   the  next  draft  of   their  EDI
  30.           Infrastructure Document.
