- AMIGA/DNET
-
- DNET <options> SERVER/CLIENT LINK PROTOCOL
-
- -bbaud set baud rate (default is preferences baud rate).
- -d Debug mode on
- -s Do not automatically startup an FTERM
- -h quit on carrier lost (back to terminal window)
- (an automatic 'AT^m' is sent to the modem to reset
- the baud rate).
- -nhostname hostname (used to name remote unix socket). Default is "".
- This sets the UNIX domain socket name on the UNIX machine and
- also sets the enviroment variable DNETHOST.
-
- -Ddevice set device name (serial.device is the default)
- -Uunit set device unit (0 is the default)
- -Nnet# network id (0-31), default is "0".
- Example: -N1
-
- DNET is a point to point link protocol which implements one or more
- simultanious prioritized virtual streams over the (probably noisy)
- serial port. A server/client relationship exists where either side
- may initiate connections to servers.
-
- DNET may be run on an automatic basis by setting your modem to
- auto-answer and using the -h option (which is normally used anyway).
- Currently, it only works if the caller connects at the same baud rate
- DNET is running at.
-
- NETWORK ID: The network id allows you to run several DNET's on your
- Amiga over different virtual devices. Each DNET must have a
- different network id (0-31). This must be specified via the -N
- option for various clients that you run (except for network id 0,
- the default).
-
- AUXILLARY FILES:
- S:DNET.SERVERS, containing auto-start server list (scopy, scli, sterm).
- This file must be modified to hold the proper paths
- to the servers to allow DNET to start them on demand.
