" SLIDESHOW "
VERSION 1.0
COPYRIGHT (C) 1987
MIKE McKITTRICK AND SHELDON TEMPLETON
ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
SLIDESHOW is a shareware program for the Amiga(TM) which displays
IFF ILBM (interleaved bit map) files like those created by Deluxe Paint(TM),
or Aegis Images(TM). SLIDESHOW was written in assembly language by two
Amiga enthusiasts. It was created under v1.2 on a model 1000 Amiga with
2 megs of expansion memory.
PURPOSE:
The ideal way to show off your graphic masterpieces is to display
them one after another in a slideshow fashion. This program is designed
to let you use your Amiga as a slide projector. Each click of the left
mouse button will display the next slide while a click of the right mouse
button will display the previous slide. Multiple clicks will be stored
and remembered thus giving a semi-automatic pause-free mode.
The transition from one picture to the next utilizes a variety of
screen wipes. There are fifteen wipes in this version - some are fancy,
others are not. All wipes are unique because of the visual transition
from one picture to next.
USAGE:
This version of SLIDESHOW works with IFF lo-res (320x200) pictures only
and can be run from Workbench or the CLI.
From Workbench: Make sure there are IFF lo-res pictures in the same drawer
as SLIDESHOW and double click the SLIDESHOW icon.
From CLI: Make sure that SLIDESHOW is in a directory that is set to the
Current Directory. Copy some IFF lo-res pictures to this directory and
type "SLIDESHOW" or "RUN SLIDESHOW" (without the quotes).
The instructions are simple. As stated above, the mouse buttons will
control picture displays by going forward or backward through the directory.
When you reach either end of the directory you will get the familiar screen
flash. To quit, hit the "Q" key on the keyboard.
Here's a tip. Copy SLIDESHOW with accompanying pictures into a ramdisk
and run it from there. Pictures will be loaded almost instantly.
OTHER VERSIONS:
Registered owners of SLIDESHOW will receive the following:
1) The latest version of SLIDESHOW. 2) A version of SLIDESHOW designed
to work in the 640 x 200 display mode. 3) A simple SLIDESHOW editor so
you can display pictures in your order with your favorite wipes attached.
(We have added a truly automatic mode with user defined delays.)
NOTE: Neither version of SLIDESHOW can intermix display modes within
the same show. Each version will display only one display mode.
UPGRADES:
We intend to keep refining and enhancing this program. We plan to add
more creative screen wipes and features such as color cycling.
We may also write versions for the other display modes (320x400, 640x400
and H.A.M.) depending on the number of responses received.
Future upgrades will be available to registered owners for a nominal
fee of $5.00 to cover costs including postage and handling.
