- Installation Instructions for "Blackjack Lab", Version 1.0.1
- May 3, 1990
-
-
- "Blackjack Lab" requires a minimum of 512KB of memory and AmigaDOS version
- 1.2 or above. The program can run from either a floppy drive or hard drive.
- As you may already be aware of, this program is in a LHARC compressed file
- format. You will need a copy of the LHARC program in order to extract the
- "Blackjack Lab" files. To extract the program, the recommended command for
- version 1.10 or above of LHARC is:
-
- lharc x bjl10
-
- if you are using a version of LHARC older than 1.10, then use the following
- command in order for the files to be extracted correctly:
-
- lharc -x x bjl10
-
- This will restore the files to their own directories. This is important,
- because the program will assume some files will be located in certain
- directories. It is also easier to keep track of files of the same type.
-
- For floppy disk installations, "Blackjack Lab" requires the volume name
- of the disk be named "BJL" in order for it to find the support files.
- This can be done by single clicking the disk icon, then selecting the
- Rename option from the workbench menu.
-
- For hard disk installations, you will need to perform the AmigaDOS command
- Assign in order to tell the program where the support files will be
- located. From the CLI, type the command, "ASSIGN BJL: directory", where
- "directory" is the full path name where the program resides in your
- hard disk. This line should also be added to your System-startup file in
- the S: directory so the assign can be performed automatically after every
- boot-up.
-
- If this installation is not done properly, you will notice the sound effects
- will be disabled for the program, the help facility will not operate,
- and the demo mode will not operate either.
-
- Refer to the "ReadMePlay" file for more information about using the program.
