  6. Author Submissions

  8.     If you have written a program that you would like to see appear
  9.     in the library, I encourage you to submit it on disk directly to
  10.     me, along with a letter indicating you would like to see it
  11.     included in the library.

  13. Submission Format
  14.  
  15.     You can increase the chances of your submission being accepted by
  16.     following a few simple guidelines:
  17.  
  18.     (1)    Don't submit bootable disks or disks with any other
  19.         proprietary material included, since I then have to
  20.         go examine each file to decide if it is distributable
  21.         or not, and if not, what effect removing it might have.
  22.  
  23.     (2)    Organize the distribution in a manner similar to the
  24.         library disk organization.  I.E., place all files
  25.         related to a particular program under a single directory
  26.         on the disk.  If there is more than one program per disk,
  27.         place each one in its own directory.

  29.     (3)    Try to write a simple entry for the "Contents" listing
  30.         that summarizes your submission.  It should be about 
  31.         3-10 lines, and include the current version number, the
  32.         version and disk number of the most recent version
  33.         (if any) that was last included in the library, whether
  34.         or not source is included, and an "Author" list.
  35.  
  36.     (4)    Ensure that your submission will run correctly from
  37.         its subdirectory and that it does not depend upon the
  38.         name of the disk.  If necessary, supply a script
  39.         runnable from workbench (via c:IconX) that makes all
  40.         necessary assigns, copies fonts and libraries, etc.

  42. Shareware
  43.  
  44.     Shareware is accepted for inclusion in the library if it is
  45.     submitted directly by the author.  In general, this is the only
  46.     way shareware is included on any disk after disk 90.  The intent
  47.     is not to exclude shareware received from other sources (such
  48.     as third party submissions or via downloads from electronic
  49.     online services), but simply to ensure that the author has no
  50.     objections to its inclusion.
