MoleWt Version 1.01 - by John Kennan
MoleWt is a public domain molecular weight calculator. The
program accepts a chemical formula and returns the molecular
weight. For example if you enter `(CH3)4Si' the program will
return the molecular weight of 88.226. The program is simple to
operate. Just keep the following in mind:
1) Upper and lower case are significant. Thus SI is interpreted
as sulfur and iodine and not as silicon.
2) The program accepts many levels of parentheses. Thus
((CH3)3C)2SiCl2 is acceptable.
3) The program is written in Multi-Forth. To makes things
simple, I used integer math. If you calculate molecular weights
that exceed 1 million, the program will give incorrect results.
4) In addition to the elements, I programmed in a few common
chemical groupings. Thus
Me=CH3-
Et=CH3CH2-
Vi=CH2CH-
Ph=C6H5-
