  1. Short: Sendmail (based on smail V2.5)

  6.     The  Smail  program  replaces  Dillons sendmail to become the UUCP mail
  7.     transport  mechanism.  This Smail is based on Unix Smail V2.5.  I adapt
  8.     some Unix function (like getloginname() getuid() etc.) to the Amiga and
  9.     added some extensions (like BSMTP etc.)
  10.  
  11.     I  tried  to  secure  that  Smail  has the same parameters than Dillons
  12.     sendmail  so  that  your script files/programs that call sendmail still
  13.     works.

  15.     I decided to publish the source files so that everybody can adapt Smail
  16.     to his own environment (e.g BBS programs or Networks).  If you send your
  17.     changes back to me I will insert them into the "official" distribution.
