  7. This program is based heavily on Jukka Marin's program "Keskeytysesi-
  8. merkki v1.5". All the blanking code is from that program. The only
  9. reason why I used that code was to speed up writing this program.
  10. The Blank program is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind,
  11. and the author is not responsible for any damage this software may do.

  17. WHAT DOES IT DO?
  18. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  19. This is a normal blanker upto a certain poin (i.e. it turns off the
  20. screen if there is no user activity or the is no special activity from
  21. the computer). Blank changes a few library vector offsets, so whenever
  22. a screen or window opens or some text is being written on the screen
  23. the blanker "lights" up the screen again.

  27. The program tests for Kickstart 2.0 and if it is the current kickstart, the
  28. program will also patch the new Open(Screen/Window)TagList vectors.

  30. HOW TO USE IT

  32. Start the program from the CLI.

  36. Where NN is the time to wait before blanking.

  42. ERROR MESSAGES

  44. At this moment the program is a quick hack, i.e. no error messages.
  45.  
  46. PROBLEMS
  47. ~~~~~~~~
  48. If you've got the graphics.library Text patched and you've got some kind of
  49. a clock on the screen it the screen will not blank. You'll have the same
  50. problem if you have a drawer/device open in the WB. It seems to print
  51. something in it around every 3 secs.

  70. choose which vectors to patch (i.e. when to stop blanking).

  74. If the program doesn't work, compare your hardware with mine and see
  75. what's different. (The list is universal for all my programs at pre-
  76. release stage, so don't get any funny ideas...)

  90. There are a few bugs in the program. It changes the dos.library vector
  91. Write ilegally. Some crashes might happen, don't worry, be happy.

  95. This program originally written for a friend. The real blanking part
  96. was written by Jukka Marin (it stole it from him, why invent the
  97. wheel 50 time over?). That I suppose means that he has most of the
  98. copyrights.                  ^^^^^^^
