  3. This is disk 750 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.

  7. AddIcon        A useful tool that copies icons to a given file or directory.
  8.         It supports pattern matching and has various options.  It
  9.         first looks at the suffixes of the files and for chunks to
  10.         identify their types, then it copies the right type of icon
  11.         to the files.  These icons should be located in the Icons:
  12.         drawer.  Contains all needed icons.  OS 2.xx only.  FreeWare
  13.         version 1.7, binary only.

  16. CFX        Crunched File eXaminer allows the user to examine and find
  17.         files using several different search criteria.  CFX knows a
  18.         huge amount of the current Amiga filetypes, including a vast
  19.         number of "cruncher" types.  CFX can also give in-depth dis-
  20.         assemblies of crunched files, including most address crunched
  21.         files, relocator crunched files, and some major archive crun-
  22.         ched types.  This version requires kick 1.3 or 2.0.  Version
  23.         5.242, freeware, binary only.

  26. Create        A replacement for the "makedir" command.  It can create dir-
  27.         ectories and files.  Useful for some editors and other pro-
  28.         grams that allow you to you define a file to load at start-
  29.         time.  In this case files can be created before calling these
  30.         programs that usually give you nervous requesters on non-
  31.         existing files.  It accepts multiple files and directories,
  32.         and is also useful for batchfiles.  OS 2.xx only.  This is
  33.         version 1.1, freeware, binary only.

  36. DockBrushes    Two PAL pictures containing brushes to be used with AmiDock
  37.         (Shareware program by Gary Knight), or other such utilities.
  38.         One is in hi-res (640 x 256 2 bit planes), the other in hi-
  39.         res interlace (640 x 512 2 bit planes).

  42. ExecMaster    A tool that allows you to start scripts, programs and rexx
  43.         scripts in different ways.  You can optionally specify an out-
  44.         put.  This could be a file or even a window.  It has the abil-
  45.         ity to iconify and a full gadtools user interface with key
  46.         command support.  It fully supports PublicScreens.  OS 2.xx
  47.         only.  Version 1.7, freeware, binary only.

  50. FontViewQ    A commodity to display a table of characters of any Amiga
  51.         font, which is chosen by a font requester.  The characters are
  52.         clickable to show you the ASCII value and the key combination
  53.         to press.  With AmigaOS 2.1 a localization takes place (cur-
  54.         rently German and French).  Version 1.2, includes source.

  57. SaveW        SaveW is the counterpart of SizeW.  It saves the current win-
  58.         dow coords to a file (if given) or to STDOUT.  Includes some

  63. SizeW        SizeW is a tool that lets you change the size and the place
  64.         of the currently active window.  You can specify coords from
  65.         commandline or optionally from a file.  This is a companion
  66.         to SaveW.  Includes some examples in the docfile.  OS 2.xx
  67.         only.  Version 1.5, freeware, binary only.

  70. SplitQ        Opposite of the AmigaDos 'JOIN' command.  A portion of the
  71.         file specified by offset from the beginning and length is
  72.         saved to a new file.  The syntax is like the BASIC function
  73.         MID$().  Parts can be rejoined with the 'JOIN' command.
  74.         Version 1.1, includes source.

  77. StripIt        A programming utility that strips all kinds of comments from
  78.         given source codes of all programming languages.  It is con-
  79.         trolled by a config file which includes the rules of the com-

  90. Annotate    A text editor written for ADos 2.04 only.  Takes advantage of
  91.         Public screens and the system default font.  Features include
  92.         folding, shifting, vertical cut and paste, full clipboard
  93.         support, macros, scroll bar, editor buffering, printing, text
  94.         locking and a tools menu.  Version 1.8, an update to version
  95.         1.0 on disk number 641.  Binary only.

  98. CheatFont    A simple program which Patches the TOPAZ/8 font.  You can use
  99.         one out of FIVE implemented fonts, but it's also possible to
  100.         install external fonts via the req.library and/or the reqtools.
  101.         library.  Also included in the package are 30 demofonts.

  105. PPMC        The Powerpacker Mini Clone.  This is powerpacker.library
  106.         meeting gadtools.library: A small utility, useful for compres-
  107.         sing any text or data file.  Version 1.1 which includes the C
  108.         source for both SAS/C & DICE.

  111. ReflexTest    A game which tests your addition, subtraction, or multipli-
  112.         cation skills.  The goal is to answer several math questions
  113.         in the shortest possible time.  A continuation to the version
  114.         found on disk number 713.  Binary only.

  117. VCLI        Voice Command Line Interface allows you to execute CLI or
  118.         ARexx commands, or ARexx scripts, by spoken voice command
  119.         through your Perfect Sound 3, Sound Master (Sound Magic), or
  120.         Generic audio digitizer.  VCLI is completely multitasking and
  121.         will run continuously in the background, waiting to execute
  122.         your voice command even while other programs may be running.
  123.         With VCLI you can launch multiple applications or control any
  124.         program with ARexx capability completely by spoken voice
  125.         command.  VCLI is compatible with both NTSC and PAL.  This is
  126.         version 5, a major upgrade and replacement for version 4 on
  127.         disk number 618.  Binary only, requires AmigaDOS 2.0.

  130. YearPrintQ    Prints a calendar of the year onto four sheets of paper. The
  131.         GUI adapts itself automatically to the actual system font.
  132.         With AmigaOS 2.1, a localization also takes place (currently
  133.         German and French).  A configuration file with any holiday
  134.         or special occasion definitions can be chosen thru file re-
  135.         quester or "drag and drop".  The calendar can be printed on
  136.         every printer supported from AmigaOS either with IBM graphics
  137.         or ASCII characters.  Version 2.5, requires at least AmigaOS

  148.         or CLI tool management.  Includes the ability to add menu
  149.         items to the 2.x "Tools" menu, add WorkBench icons or dock
  150.         Windows.  Features multi-column docks that automatically
  151.         detect largest image size, ARexx, sound and Locale support.
  152.         This is version 2.0, a complete overhaul since version 1.5
  153.         on disk number 551.  Complete new "object-oriented" concept
  154.         and configuration is now handled by a preferences program.
  155.         Includes source, lots of graphic images, and programmers
  156.         support for using the toolmanager.library.  Requires 2.x for

  172. Mostra        A shareware IFF utility featuring real-time unpacking scroll,

  176.         palette, double buffering, fast decompression, color cycling,
  177.         TeXdocs, startup files for easy custom configurations and

  181. SuperDuper    A very fast disk copier and formatter.  Can make up to four
  182.         unverified copies from a ram buffer in 36 seconds.  Verified
  183.         copies from a ram buffer take 67 seconds for one destination
  184.         drive, plus 34 seconds for each additional destination.  This
  185.         is version 2.02, an update to version 2.01 on disk 590.
  186.         Includes a program to fine tune some fields in the trackdisk
  187.         device, and a "no click" type program.  Binary only.

  194.         hotkeys, Activate Workbench by hotkey (to get at menus when

  202. Zoo        Another independent port of Zoo version 2.10, this version
  203.         includes source.  Zoo is a file archiver, much like "arc" in
  204.         concept, but different in implementation and user interface

  206.         New features include greatly improved compression, preserva-
  207.         tion of full pathnames by default, and extended multi-screen

  221.         October 15, 1992.

  224. BootLogo    Designed for machines displaying a white screen during boot-
  225.         time.  Displays a nice picture that automatically terminates as
  226.         soon as the first window is opened during the boot process.
  227.         Requires AmigaDOS 2.0 or higher.  Version 1.0, binary only.

  230. Enforcer    A tool to monitor illegal memory access for 68020/68851, 68030,
  231.         and 68040 CPUs.  This is a completely new Enforcer from the
  232.         original idea by Bryce Nesbitt.  It contains many new and
  233.         wonderful features and options and no longer contains any
  234.         exceptions for specific software.  Enforcer can now also be
  235.         used with CPU or SetCPU FASTROM or most any other MMU-Kick-
  236.         start-Mapping tool.  Major new output options such as local
  237.         output, stdout, and parallel port.  Highly optimized to be as
  238.         fast as possible.  This is version 37.25 and requires V37 of
  239.         the OS or better and an MMU.

  247. SofTrack    Opens a little window that shows the current track number of
  248.         the heads of each floppy drive and whether a read or write

  253. Win2Front    A simple, small and pure utility similar to Shell2Front on disk
  254.         number 741.  This program adds the ability to specify the name

  259. XPK        An interfacing standard between applications and packer lib-
  260.         raries.  Any XPK application can handle every XPK packer.

  264.         included:  4 nice packers, 2 very safe encryptors, and some

  302. Run68013    Emulates 11 of the 68020-specific instructions and its regis-

  320.         and the ability to output to a variety of formats (including

  341. WBStart        WBStart is a package to emulate the WorkBench startup proce-
  342.         dure, by loading a program, creating a process for it, and

  346.         update to version 1.0 on disk number 572.  Includes source.

  356.         allocates them as used, making the rest of the disk usable.
  357.         Similar to BBformat on disk number 493, but apparently

  362. GeoTime        A software "Geochron" that allows you to see the earth's
  363.         shadow scroll across the world map or globe in real time,
  364.         showing the earth's day/night state.  This is version 1.2b,
  365.         an update to version 1.0 on disk number 180.  Runs under
  366.         AmigaDOS 2.1 whereas earlier versions had some problems.

  370. MemMometer    A program that opens a narrow window and graphically displays
  371.         your memory usage like a gauge.  Warps mode will detect changes
  372.         in regions of memory over time.  Detected changes are categor-
  373.         ized and displayed using color coded bands.  This is version
  374.         2.40, an update to Version 2.20 on disk number 496.  Can be
  375.         used with AmigaDOS 1.2 to 3.0; does 32-bit memory addresses.
  376.         New with version 2.4 is an ARexx port for menu functions.
  377.         Includes source in C.

  379.  
  380. Mine        A new Modula-2 implementation of an old computer game.  You
  381.         have an N * N square with mines hidden in some fields.  Your
  382.         job is to mark them with a flag as fast as possible.  High-
  383.         score lists are supported.  Version 1.6, an update to version
  384.         1.0 on disk number 725, contains several improvements and
  385.         a bug fix when operating under OS 39.x.  Requires AmigaDOS 2.0,
  386.         includes source.

  389. NoChange    Saves some important system vectors at the start of execution
  390.         and periodically checks them to see if they've changed.  A
  391.         universal virus finder.  Runs from both WorkBench and CLI.

  395. SysInfo        A program which reports interesting information about the
  396.         configuration of your machine, including some speed compar-
  397.         isons with other configurations, versions of the OS software,
  398.         etc.  Lots of new enhancements including information on
  399.         devices, resources and ports, and graphical speed comparisons.
  400.         This is version 3.01, an update to version 2.69 on disk 642.

  404. WorldTime    A clock that can show you the time in any city in the world.
  405.         The times are calculated automatically using data supplied by
  406.         the user.  Rewritten to take advantages of features available
  407.         under Kickstart 2, and thus will not run under 1.2 or 1.3 any-
  408.         more.  A commodity that can be run from the workbench or CLI
  409.         Version 2.1, an update to version 1.31 on disk number 583,
  410.         binary only.

  419. ABackup        A powerful backup utility that may be used both for harddisk
  420.         backup and for file archiving.  Has a full Intuition interface
  421.         (as well as a "batch" mode), can save/load file selections,
  422.         handles HD disk, etc.  Includes both a French and an English
  423.         version.  This is version 1.60, an update from version 1.31 on
  424.         disk 706.  Shareware, binary only.

  427. AZap        A "new generation" binary editor able to edit files, memory,
  428.         or devices like hard disks.  It can open several windows at
  429.         the same time, handle FFS/OFS file systems, and has a lot a
  430.         functions (fill block, compute checksum, base conversion,
  431.         etc.).  Includes both a French and an English version.  This
  432.         is version 1.00, binary only.

  434.  
  435. BioRhythm    An intuition based easy-to-use program that shows your 3 basic
  436.         BioRhythms plus the average-"rhythm".  Take a look, dump it to
  437.         your printer and make your plans for "when to do what".  This
  438.         is version 1.0, binary only, PAL version.  Source available
  439.         from author on request.

  442. CDTV-Player    A little utility for all those people, who'd like to play
  443.         Audio-CD's, while multitasking on workbench.  It's an emula-
  444.         tion of CDTV's remote control, but is a little more sophisti-
  445.         cated.  Version 1.0ß, binary only.

  447.  
  448. ChemBalance    An ARexx script to balance unbalanced chemical equations.  With
  449.         ChemBalance in ram, enter "rx ram:ChemBalance" from a CLI or
  450.         Shell window.  A prompt should appear from which you can enter
  451.         an unbalanced chemical equation for ChemBalance to try to
  452.         balance.  Version 1.0, requires ARexx.

  455. LSlabel        A simple label printing utility.  Very powerful as the user
  456.         can/must do a lot of settings by himself.  Features include
  457.         variable linefeeds (in 1/216 inch steps) between 21 indepen-
  458.         dent lines and freely configurable printer codes.  Version
  459.         1.29, an update to version 1.12 on disk 586, binary only.
